Baby Products Reviews of PRI EuroBath, Pearl WhiteCustomer Review: The Absolute Best Baby Bathtub on the Market Summary: 5 Stars
Having tried all of the top selling baby bathtubs Amazon sells (We own the Eurobath and both sets of grandparents own the other two top selling brands) I can say definitively this is by far the best baby bathtub on the market.
The Eurobath may cost cost a couple dollars more than competitors, but it is worth every penny. The main key difference is size and here is why size matters with baby tubs:
1) The Eurobath has higher sides which allow you to add more water in the tub. More water means that more of the baby can be in the water, which keeps the baby warmer. No one wants their baby catching a chill while bathing. With newborns you're obviously not going to fill the tub up, but the flexibility of adding more water as your baby grows is great.
2) The Eurobath is wider and longer than many others which allows for a couple more inches of water around the baby, both to the front and sides. It's obvious that our baby loves the water around her and I can't count the videos we have of her giggling like crazy as she kicks both her legs and waves her arms in the water. At 7 months she still can't make enough of a splash to get us wet, but she sure seems to enjoy making small splashes and waves.
3) Once your baby is old enough to sit up, the Eurobath provides enough room for them to play with their toys in the water in a manageable environment. Similar to how an adult sitting in a tub has a pool of water in front of them; the Eurobath does the same thing for a baby but on a smaller scale. While our baby only has a handful of plastic floating ducks as bath toys, its fun to watch her pick them up one by one and then put them back down and push them around. The Sure Comfort Deluxe did not have enough room or allow for enough water for our baby to do the same thing.
4) The Eurobath because of it's larger size can be used by your baby longer. No one wants to waste money and buy more than one baby bath. The Eurobath works great from month 1 well through the entire first year.
In summary, our baby absolutely loves the Eurobath and always has fun in it. In comparison the other types of baths seem cramped and because of their small size our baby never seemed very happy in the bath and she was never able to have fun or play in the water like she does at home. While at 7 months we haven't started baby swim lessons yet, I am convinced that she's already starting to love the water because of her experiences in the Eurobath.
Hope this helps.
Customer Review: Buy this tub!!!!!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
This is the only tub I have ever owned, and I LOVE it! I've tried other models when watching my friend's kids, nieces and nephews. Of the ones I've tried I felt that the molded ones don't grow well with the kids, and the ones with padding, foam, or the slings never get as clean as you want them. I got this one based on the reviews, and none of those things have ever been a problem.
It was a little big when my baby was a newborn, but I just lined the reclining end with a small towel (rolled up a bit at the bottom to give her a boost) and it propped her up perfectly. The grandparents didn't have a baby tub, so I had to bathe her in the sink when visiting. I dreaded it because I was so spoiled by how easy this tub makes bathtime. That free hand can be priceless! I went so far as to bring it on vacation with us (for her and the 2 other babies there) - just packed a bunch of her stuff inside and threw it in the back of the car! She is a year old now and she still fits just fine. We lay her back to wash her hair in one end, and when she sits up she can spin herself around to the other end to play. As a little bonus, now that she is mobile, using this tub keeps her contained. I am not chasing a slippery toddler up and down the length of a full size bathtub!
It is a definitely a big tub compared to other models, but don't let that deter you. I went to Lowe's and bought one of those giant, locking suction cup hooks. I stuck it to the top of the tub wall opposite the shower head. It holds the tub, and we still have plenty of room to shower. Our mesh tub toy bag hangs neatly out of sight underneath it, and as a bonus the toys aren't soaked every time someone takes a shower. (The only thing with the suction hook is that if it's not locked down the tub can fall, and when it does it is LOUD! But - lesson learned - it only takes a second to lock the hook.)
I've never used the drain. She is only a little kid - I don't think she gets so dirty that she needs a whole tub full of fresh water to rinse. After her bath I just tilt the entire tub up to dump it, wipe it out with one of those Lysol or Clorox disinfecting wipes, rinse it and hang it up. The only real crevice to clean out is the drain plug. The rest of the surface is smooth so it wipes down quickly.
Overall, I feel like this tub is easy to use, easy to clean, and easy to store. We're expecting another baby and - again - we will be using this tub just as soon as this one can take a real bath!
Customer Review: Truly the only tub a Baby needs until 2 years old. Summary: 5 Stars
We registered for the Eurobath AFTER talking to doctors and parents, reading the reviews here and actually seeing one on display at a local baby boutique.
Granted, it does cost a few dollars more than most of the other baby tubs, but you get your money's worth from the first time you use it, because you can use the same tub all the way until your baby is almost through his/her terrible twos.
We also gave my cousin this Eurobath for her baby's first Christmas (born April 2005 but is the size of a 12 month old at Chrismas and probably be 18-month size at her first birthday) and she told us she either returned her other baby tubs or donated them to Salvation Army/local church, AFTER ONE USE of the Eurobath because:
(1) The Eurobath is larger, it holds more water and "cocoons" your baby so you can actually bathe your baby without freezing your child by accident. California can get pretty cold even with all the sunshine. And bath time actually becomes FUN TIME for both the parent/caregiver and the baby.
(2) The Eurobath is more convenient and USER-Friendly in its design and overall product feel. And what parent doesn't like convenience? One side of the Eurobath is meant for babies and the other side is for infants over 12 months old and/or can sit up. Comes in "standard color (IVORY)" that complements whatever color theme you may have for your bathroom. And it looks like the regular bathtub (and we all know that babies/children like to imitate adults) instead of some blue plastic container.
(3) She hangs her Eurobath on the back-wall of her bath tub/shower to air-dry and store so she and her fiance can take showers - she is 6'1" and Rod is 6'6". There is a hole at one end of the tub that fits most household hooks.
(4) She (and we) plan to use the Eurobath as a "baby pool" during the summer time too.
(5) The Eurobath may be large, but it is still a good size and lightweight to take on the road to Grandma's house or during weekend-getaways to hotels, etc. But not on a plane - you will have to check it in as it won't fit an overhead bin. Plus the airport screeners and fellow passengers will probably look at you funny.
I'm glad we have more time than other folks to research and actually "demo" stuff that catches our eye, since our baby isn't due until March 1, 2006.
Customer Review: BEST tub on the market -- even two years later Summary: 5 Stars
Wow -- where do I begin? This tub is, hands down, the very best bathtub on the market. We bought this tub before our daughter (first child) was born. We chose it based on the rave reviews of a trusted friend and the advice of NICU nurses in a baby preparation class we took. After 22 months of use, this tub is still in perfect condition and our daughter still fits in it with room to spare. This tub allows you to wash your child with at least one, if not both, hands free. The baby sits in what reminds me of a western-style saddle with the piece in front that won't let baby slip down -- even as a newborn. Our daughter's very first bath was in this tub just the way it's pictured here (no infant insert needed). She'll be 22 months-old next week and still fits in this tub. We expect she'll fit in this tub well past her 2nd birthday. Now THAT'S what I call bang for your buck.
We got one of those inflatable duck tubs for our daughter's first birthday as a gift. We blew it up tonight thinking maybe we'd start putting her in the adult tub with the duck since she splashes us a lot now and soaks the walls when we use the eurobath on the bathroom counter top. To our dismay, we found that the duck inflatable tub was way too small. We assume other inflatable tubs will be too per their dimensions. In addition, the duck tub was so narrow that our daughter's bath toys would have been piled up on her lap. In the eurobath, even at nearly two, she still has plenty of room to sit and play with all manner of bath toys. She sits confidently in the eurobath because she's supported so there's no slipping and scaring her, and there's no worry for us. I can wash her hair and her body without holding onto her or worrying she'll slide and bump her head, etc. We'll probably just start putting the eurobath in the adult tub for a while now until she outgrows it.
I cannot say enough good about this tub. You WILL NOT find a better tub out there because it just doesn't exist. Other tubs may have "spa" features or temperature devices but they don't hold a candle to this tub. You can buy a cheap rubber duckie bath water thermometer at any baby store and they work fine. This is just the best design on the market and you will thank yourself time again, probably for two years or more, for buying this tub. We do, that's for certain.
Customer Review: We LOVE this Tub! Summary: 5 Stars
First, let me just say that this tub is really large. We had a difficult time figuring out where to put it when we were not using it. It doesn't let you know the water's temp, but I feel most parents can figure this out on their own. My tub also doesn't drain all the way, but there is barely any water left so I just dump what is left in the big tub. When this tub has water in it, moving it around is not pleasant (we have a garden tub and putting the baby tub in it isn't an option). It is still the best tub that we have used. Let me tell you why. First, it is contoured to hold an infant by his arms and between the legs. The baby fits perfectly so you are able to focus on safely washing your baby. For a first time mom this was a relief. My son is active, so bathing him has always been an adventure. Second, the baby is still able to move their arms and legs and splash without slipping around. This freedom, while still feeling secure, gives my son much pleasure. Third, the tub is made so that you do not get water into the child's ears unless you over fill it. Fourth, the water line is high enough to keep most of the baby submerged so that they don't get cold. Fifth, it grows with the child. Sixth, it is very easy to clean and doesn't have a lot of parts, you don't have to mess with pushing buttons, arranging slings etc. My mom used it a few weeks ago and said that it was the best thing ever. Lastly, there is plenty of room for my son's rubber duckies ;o)! We tried the tub that has the shower sprayer. Seth hated the tub because when he was in the sling he got cold. (Slings get wet and because they are not all the way in the water they get cold) If you tried to fill the tub so that he would be happy, then he would get water in his ears. Lastly, the sprayer broke after a week. The second tub we tried was the four in one. It leaked on us. So, the only draw back we have found is the tub is large. I use two stick up hooks on the bath wall and hang it up there. I hope this helps.
