I bought this play yard to help my wife out since work keeps me away from home all too often. I read that someone thought this item seemed cheap, I disagree. It is very sturdy and even helped my son to stand up for the first time. I am extrememly pleased with this play yard. It was very easy to set up and fits great in my family room.
My son didn't like it at first, he was annoyed by the seperation it caused between him and my wife, but was over that extremely quickly. This play yard gives my wife the opportunity to take a break from chasing him and having to pick him up and away from the things he shouldn't be playing with. The break allows her to give her back a rest as well.
I did buy the extensions so he would have more room to play. My wife has not connected both ends as of yet, she just uses it to connect two walls together and it keeps my son at bay. If you have the space, I definitely recommend the extensions.
All in all, my wife and I very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone with an active and roaming child.
Customer Review: Great as a fence or barrier for small dogs and puppies

I ordered this product for my 4-month-old cockapoo puppy. I have an open floor plan and I use it as a fence to keep the puppy in my family room. The SuperYard extends over a 12 foot opening and it works great. Other similar products on Amazon were either too short or too expensive. I did NOT have to anchor the SuperYard to the walls as some others have had to do (I have it on carpet, hard floors would be more problematic). If you set it up in a zigzag fashion (see the product photos) and brace the ends against your door frames, the puppy can't easily push it over. I gave the SuperYard 4 instead of 5 stars only because it is not easy for people to get through the fence. The joints between sections are stiff (to improve the strength of the barrier), but this means that you can't swing a section open like a gate. What we do is to pull the end of the fence away from the door frame enough to slip by. This trade-off is worth it to me since my puppy now doesn't have the run of the house. I think the SuperYard would also work well as a fence or barrier for toddlers and crawlers.Customer Review: Quite versitle and functional, not very tall

I got this for my new dog. Note: they sell this as a yard for kids and also for dogs. As far as I can tell, it's the same product but the cost of getting it as a dog yard is usually MORE than for kids!
We don't use it as a yard though. We use the pieces (usually 2 at a time) as barriers to rooms. Since they can form a "V" shape, they stand up on their own well.
As the dog got bigger it learned how to move the fence out of the way. For the main use (kitchen to family room) I put a nail in the wall near each side of the opening and use bungee cords to hold the fence in place. It's working fine so far.
We've been trying to train the dog to not jump over the fence. It's working so far (I think it could make the jump) but big dogs (and children) will need something taller. Using additional bungee cords, I've been able to double the height (there's plenty of holes to connect to) and make the barrier tall enough to work.
The product is easy to use, high quality plastic, and (so far) the dog hasn't been able to chew through it.

This product does what it says it does. It is a perfect play yard for our toddlers AND our puppy. We bought THREE! It's very sturdy, durable, easy to clean, and ours has lasted four years now.
Our toddler plays for hours in it and all his toys are in there, it's great. We bought an extra for outside so we can sit outside at dusk on the deck with him. When we got our puppy six months ago, we saw it makes a perfect pen for the new puppy! We have a small crate setup inside it, and a small litterbox to housetrain him. It worked great! Fantastic!
As for the reviewer who looked at it and returned it - I don't know what idiot would think it's beautiful, but why would you expect something like this to look beautiful?!?! Duh. It's a play yard. AND best part is, you can buy the extension kit. We bought two extension kits. This thing is practically unbreakable. My only complaint is that it takes a lot of strength, maybe only a man, to snap the ends together. It's very hard to snap together or get apart. But once together, we leave it up for months.

As working parents of a 6 month year old ( now almost 8)who was already crawling, sitting , standing with support and eager to explore his surrounding all his waking hours we needed someway to keep him safe while we were both busy either getting ready to go to work or doing household chores. This enclose meets all our expectations. Its easy to assemble, modify/reassemble to set up in different areas inside the house. It provides a large area for our son to explore and play with his toys without feeling being limited for space.We have set it up in the living room so we can keep an eye on our baby as we move around the house. Although initially our son was very excited about the "wall" using it to learn to stand up and walk around, he now kinda knows its real use is to keep him away from us. So he starts complaining after a few minutes inside it but at least we know he is safe in there. So we are very happy and do not have any complaints in the couple of months we have owned this product and rate it highly and definitely recommend it.
