This play yard is a good buy, it is good quality, heavy and sound. We also purchased the extension kit, it would have been very small without that. It is large enough to get in with our son and he loves "cruising" around the edges holding on to the bars. No danger of him climbing out with the vertical bars. Overall, a good buy.
The only complaint I have is that the latch on the gate is a little difficult, requires both hands most of the time.

This is a great gate and so much better than white metal. The wood is a nice oak finish and matches our wood furniture perfectly. Once we figured out how to get the interlocking bars out it was very easy to assemble and makes a great wall around our bookshelves and we got another for our fireplace. It seems very sturdy and our baby likes to use the rails to walk around.Customer Review: Not as sturdy as the metal

I love the metal version of this- it's extremely sturdy and does a excellent job keeping my crawling, standing 9-month old secure even when not attached to the wall or configured as a play yard. However, this version wood is much lighter and can't be used in this manner- it would be extremely easy for him to move it.Customer Review: Used for puppy play area

I recently got a new puppy and w/ an open concept home, he was free to roam anywhere. The size of this gate opens up to fill the span of our 11' opening to our great room. We also use the gate to block off a corner for him to nap or play in while the family is busy elsewhere in the house. Great product!Customer Review: Slow shipping and very disappointed

We ordered it on Dec.12, and received it on Jan.11! It took nearly one month for us to get the playpen, while my boy was running everywhere! Very disappointed. Also the playpen does not looks that good, you can not customize how many panels or how big the place you want.
