This has been a great purchase! I am a little depressed at the thought of competely losing my living room to this giant set of gates, but I think it's worth it! I was so torn on wheather to buy one set or two sets or 1 set with the extra extention. I really didn't want to spend a whole lot and I didn't want it to take over our living room. But in the end I bought two sets and I would definitely recommend it. I love that there is enough room to get in the "jail" with our little guy and play. I still feel like I need to be in the room with him while he is in the play yard cause he is at the age where he is crawling and pulling himself up and he keeps falling and banging his head on the metal gate and also getting his legs and feet stuck in the slats and he isn't able to get free. I am hoping as he gets older I can actually leave the room so I can get dinner ready, but for now it's just a way to contain him from making a bee line for the fireplace.Customer Review: Great Product but over priced...

The product shipped quickly! Directions were a little confusing at first, but finally figured it out. The product is great. I had read where some of the other play yards are so light weight that toddlers can push them around on the floor/carpet. That is why I decided to go with the metal. This unit is very sturdy, and I have to exert a bit of force to move it myself when I need to. It is tall enough so that toddlers cannot climb over, and the metal bars are also vertical to deter climbing. I only wish that for the price, it was a little bigger. I think $120 plus bucks is a little steep, and then having to purchase another section for $40 plus bucks is a bit much for a play area. I really think that North States could offer this product at a more reasonable price. It is a great product, but way over priced. If you don't mind spending almost $200 for a play area, I would highly recommend this product. Bottom line, great product/overpriced!Customer Review: Excellent Product

We recently bought this play yard for our 6 month old twins to be able to play on the floor in safety from our 2 year old. After reading all the different reviews of the various gates and play yards, we decided to go with this one. We expected it to be difficult to set-up but worth the effort in the end. However, it has been better than expected in all aspects. It came in only 2 days, there was nothing broken, and the entire structure was pre-assembled in the box. All we had to do was either attach it to itself to make a free standing enclosure or anchor it to the wall (which is what we chose to do). It is sturdy, nice looking, easy to re-arrange, and the gate, while it doesn't open 180 degrees, does have a very cool self-closing mechanism which we really appreciate. This product is well worth the $100 price tag. After it has served its purpose this year as a play pen, it will move on next year to being a very nice fireplace barrier.Customer Review: Mother of two little ones

This gate is sooo much better than the others (better than the Kidco Configure Gate too)! It's sturdy and well made. The 30 inch height is perfect for keeping the little ones secured. It has flexible configuration options as each panel can be placed at different angles. This was not clearly advertised in the description, but each panel can be placed at odd angles (not just 10 degree increments like the Kidco, but any angle up to 180 degrees) and locked in place. The wall mounts can be tricky, but there were wall templates included to help mark the spot where screws can be inserted. I like that this fence gives you the option to be used as a self-supporting enclosed play yard OR wall mounted AND you don't have to buy anything else to have these options. Other gates don't come with wall mounts and these other gates with wall mounts cost more too. I would definitely recommend this gate to other parents.Customer Review: Very sturdy

Our 1 year old daughter is a strong one and would lean up against it. It works like a charm. I bolted down one side to the wall, and slid the other end in between the bookself and the piano.
We originally had it so she had a 4 feet by 12 feet of space to play in.
But she felt so trapped that I just blocked off the entrance to the kitchen, to bookshelves, and to computer equipment. The design was so flexible that we were able to redo the gates to just block off certain areas.
Between each metal panel, you can lock it tight so it doesn't move. The panels can be aligned to about 100 - 180 degree angles. Each set comes with a panel with a door. Each panel is about 1 inch thick.
We actually bought two sets since we needed a large area to be blocked off. Well worth the investment over the flimsy plastic ones that break and bend.
