Customer Review: Great for Breastfeeding Too

This has been one of the best gifts that we received for our son! Although we are breastfeeding, there are times when we bottle feed breastmilk. This item is a lifesaver. The directions are so easy and the unit has everything you need! We add two bottles to the cooler compartment and fill the water tubes before we go to sleep. Let me tell you that at 3:00 am, being able to just dump the water in the warmer and add the bottle is a real plus. Even with just the light of a nightligt, it is easy to use. This ease of use means that we can complete the feeding and get back to sleep in minimum time. I love the safety feature of the auto shut-off and you will be amazed at just how quickly it works. In addition, being able to use it for a variety of bottles, milk storage bags and even baby food jars makes it a product that grows with your baby.Customer Review: Could Be Better

I gave this warmer 3 stars because it COULD BE FASTER and MORE EFFICIENT in warming up bottles. You have to use more water than you're supposed to, so you have to fill up the tube with water sometimes two whole times to provide enough heat for the bottle. Secondly, it takes a long time to warm up each bottle--about four or five minutes. Also, it could be "cleaner," the bottles come out soaking wet--we had to keep a dry towel handy to dry off each bottle after being warmed. Also, if you use disposable bag inserts, the machine won't work. You can only use traditional plastic bottles with the warmer. The bags get sopped with water. Minus all of the negatives, if you live in a rather large home or a two story, the cooler part of the warmer is VERY convenient as you don't have to make a trip to the fridge in the middle of the night.Customer Review: Inconsistent

When we first started using the bottle warmer, I thought it was awesome. It really beat warming the bottle up in hot water. It works so quickly. My complaints are: 1.) The burner is hard to clean and is starting to let off a burnt formula odor 2.) It does not heat consistently. I wait for the bottle to heat up and then sometimes it is warm - sometimes it is cold. Then you can not reheat for another 10 mins - What baby wants to wait another 10 mins and what parent wants to at 3 in the morning?
I also use the Dr. Brown's bottles and I recommend removing the vent and cap to avoid overheating. I keep a papertowel in front of the warmer so I can keep the vent on it while heating and then I use the papertowel to shake the bottle afterwards because you will get some leakage (nature of Dr. Brown's bottles unfortunately).

This warmer is wonderful! The best part is definitely not having to go downstairs in the middle of the night to get bottles or heat them up. I fill the measuring tubes before going to bed at night, and then all I have to do at night is dump in the water and turn it on. I don't even have to turn on the light. By the time I change my daughter, the bottle is ready to go.
It does take a little trial and error to get the amount of water right, but the guide is pretty accurate. I keep a glas of water next to the warmer to put the bottle in if it does get a little too warm. A quick dunk and a shake and it is ready to go.
I have always used this warmer with the Playtex bottles with the disposable liners, and I have never had a problem. This is one of the best baby items I have.

I recieved this as a shower gift after registering for it. We registered and use the Ventaire Bubble-Free bottles, and since this adverstised that bottle on the actual box, as well as printing that angle bottles are ok, we thought it would work. Well, WRONG!! The Ventaire directions specifically state that you can not use an electrical warmer with these bottles. I'm guessing it melts the plastic vent in the bottom of the actual bottle. So we warm up the babies milk in the warmer using the avent breast milk storage containers, it works fine that way. It creates a lil more work to get the baby's bottle ready, but at least I don't have melted pieces in the bottle, that wouldn't be a good thing! So if you're registering for either of these items, beware and have a back up plan or choose a different bottle.
