I purchased these mats for my 12 month old son because I'm a germophobe & these sounded like a great idea for eating out. However, they barely stick to any surface we've tried. My son gets so excited with the bright colors, he rips them off in 1 second flat. And forget trying to re-stick them to the table. I emailed Neat Solutions who makes them, suggesting they use stronger adhesive, put it around all 4 sides, & take the adhesive to the edges so that little fingers can't get under them & yank them up. Their response to me was to make sure I laid the mat flat & pressed on the adhesive! (Duh, no kidding!) They also said that "even though others have suggested the same thing, that it isn't cost-effective for them to use stronger or more adhesive at this time"!! Since they have no intention of improving this product, I have no intention of ever purchasing it again or recommending it.Customer Review: What a great product

This is the best product ever. Before I wiped down every surface with antibacterial wipes. Until I realized that I was then leaving the wipe residue behind. That didn't put me at ease either. My sister actually told me about the table toppers. She saw a family using them and said I had to get them. So I went to Babies r us (where you can find all those things that no one else carries) and got a pack. They have not left the diaper bag since. My daughter is 14 month old and while she does find the edges fascinating, it helps to make sure it is really smooth. (Do the bottom first around the edge of the table) While I think that having sticky on all 4 edges would keep it in place better, can you imagine getting it on the table that way? I think it is perfect the way it is. It definitely goes on my list of recommendations for parents.Customer Review: Fantastic, but needs to stick better!

We bought a pack of these for our daughter and keep them in the diaper bag at all times. They are fantastic!!! Our daughter gets into everything and loves to put everything in her mouth and touch everything she sees. We were wiping down tables with wipes and trying to keep the high chair away from the table before we had these. My only complaint is that they are too easy for little ones to pull up from the table! We start with a very flat, well stuck mat and end up having to pull pieces of plastic away from our daughter before she can try to eat them. I think if they had the sticky stuff on 3, or even all 4 of the edges, maybe leaving a part in the far side open for pulling them up they would likely stick much better and stay in place longer. I would still recommend these since they are the best we've found so far!Customer Review: Excellent. One of my Must Haves for young Kids

These things are great.
There are two strips of sticky stuff that holds these place mats down to the table. They are sticky enough that it takes some time to work the place mat off of the table if your child tries. Yet they do not ruin any furniture.
The mats are very useful for a variety of purposes and places. We have used ours to protect our table when painting. WE use them all the time when we are eating out. THis is very good for the young finger feeding child. You can put small bits of food right in front of him and not worry about a plate getting broken because the child threw it on the floor. When you are through eating, you simply roll this up and throw it away. Mess is gone.
Excellent. Useful. I carry them in my purse at all times.
Well worth every penny.

These disposable placemats are a fantastic invention. As we all know, many of those "clean" restaurant tables and fast food stops aren't as germ free as we'd like them to be. It is great to feel secure knowing that my daughter has a clean and sanitized place on the table to eat comfortably from.
Everybody that sees us use them, comments on what a great idea they are. I keep a few in the diaper bag and a few in my purse when we go out. They are so handy and quick to use. My daughter loves to play, eat and talk to her favorite Sesame Street friends each time we use them. Also, we enjoy the comfort that they provide to her in new and unfamilar places. They also come in handy for protecting the table and home during her "art" projects (finger painting, stamping, coloring, etc.) Great product!
