I searched and searched for a portable crib mattress that was close to the quality of a regular crib mattress. This Naturepedic mattress is suprisingly firm and comfortable. At 2 inches thick, it was just what we were looking for to keep with the safety guidelines of the portacrib. It just fit inside our Delta portacrib. We are delighted with this find after all the "mattress pads" that we looked at...even organic ones. Our baby will be using this as his main crib in our small bedroom, so a quality mattress was important to us. I highly recommend this mattress. At fifteen pounds, it is not the most portable of portacrib mattressess, but this didn't matter to us. Oh, and it is made here in the U.S.!
