My baby never used a bottle then she started taking the Avent 7oz Magic Trainer Cup Twin Pack "colors may vary" when she was 5 months, it was hard for her to use it because it has 3 opening that brings out lots of water, more than what her mouth can hold! It was also a little hard for me to clean because I had to remove the hands each time to clean it then put it back and try to twist it until the cup, the hands and the spout are in the right position!!! Kinda stupid, u don't have time and effort to that each time when u have a baby in that age! Then I got her this NUK cup, she loved it and she is still using it till now (9 months).. It is effeminately better that other cup. See the pros below:

- Light weight, the baby can start leaning to drink by herself earlier. (The Avent cup is heavier)
- Interesting colors and graphics on the cup, I think this appeals more for the baby.
- The cup is transparent and this makes a big difference, I think my baby was happier when she started to see what is inside the cup that she will take, is it just water, orange juice, apple juice..... etc. So she can decide if she wants it now or not, so it's not a surprise anymore (the Avent cup wasn't transparent!).
- The spout had a very narrow line opening and it's silicone so it's easy for the baby to drink from it without getting too little or too much water. Was good when she was 6 months and Still good until she is 9 months..
- The hand is at the bottom so you don't have to remove it and put it back each time u clean the cup or just add more water. (this wasn't the case with the Avent cup).
- The spout opening is just the right size, not too big like the Avent 7oz Magic Trainer Cup Twin Pack "colors may vary" or too small like the Munchkin Mighty Grip Trainer Cup 2-Pack, 8 oz, Colors Vary which is more like a bottle nipple!
