For nursing I prefer this over the Boppy any day. The one design flaw besides this being the ugliest cover you have ever seen is the mesh strap. My VERY active boy baby has a large abrasion on the outside of his right ankle. It was bloody and caloused. We racked our brains for a week tying to figure out what was hurting him until I finally realized that he was playing with the tag on the pillow with his foot while he nursed and rubbing that poor little ankle back and forth over the edge of the mesh strap! The deluxe pillow has fabric covering the strap that would have prevented this.Customer Review: nursing mom's best friend

my breast friend has the perfect name. it really holds the baby perfectly while you nurse and makes it easy to get baby in the right position. i used for my first born, and my newest (4 week old) and its great. Customer Review: Worth it!

This is probably one of the best items I've received and made nursing MUCH easier than other types of pillows. Hard to see from the picture, but there are actually 2 slightly raised circular bumps on the pillow's top, perfectly positioned to angle baby's head comfortably. The back support is also a plus. Also love that I can get up and it stays securely attached!Customer Review: Boppy Would Be Better

I purchased the Breast Friend over the standard Boppy thinking it was better designed to support the newborn during breastfeeding. I do think this is true but it has some major issues that make me wish I had just stuck to the standard Boppy. It is made of hard Styrofoam with makes it difficult to sit in chairs with arms while you nurse. You have to wrap it around you (there is no place to put that back support if you do not) which just digs into your back if you are sitting in a chair and leaning back at all. When you stand up, you have this thing clinging to you and no hands free to remove it (forget trying to get it off without waking the baby) which is a hassle too. Finally, it is not as versatile as a Boppy. It might work for some, but I just ended up using pillow(s) instead.Customer Review: A "life saver" ring of a pillow

Started with the Bobby, and I could not get comfortable while feeding my daughter. I needed my husband to prop additional pillows under the Bobby for support while I fed her. If I needed to switch breasts with the Boppy...fugehdabouit. The Breastfriend needs no additional support whatsoever, and never slides away from you if reach forward for water, the phone, or shift your weight because your bum is sore after the birth. Some women wrote they had it strapped to them for 6 months... I am going on 11 months. Thank God I decided to bring it with me on a flight from Tokyo to the US. Can you imagine propping up 15 airline pillows, and then worry abut the baby bumping her head on the arm rests. Don't waste time, space in you house, or your money on the Bobby...the Breastfriend is the only pillow you will need.
