The bobby is cute and soft, but did not provide the support needed for nursing my infant daughter. I tried it out at my lactation consultant's office and it was so much better! I don't like that my pillow, which I was given from a friend, is foam without a cover. The only downside to this pillow is that putting the cover back on is a bit cumbersome. However, it is much better than the Bobby. One idea I got from the lactation consultant is to put a blanket on top of the cover when nursing or burping baby, that way if baby burps up milk or has a diaper blowout, you can just throw the blanket in the hamper and get another clean one. It is also helpful to buy a spare cover so one is always clean.Customer Review: Love this pillow, help me a lot after having baby latch problems

After reading all the reviews decided to buy it and give it a try. Love it, the baby improved a lot her latch, at first she had so many troubles and couldn't nurse well, this product helped me nurse her comfortably everywhere. Even when I got to answer the phone because it stays put with my daughter still feeding, great great product, worth the money. It frees your hands a little, plus is comfortable for the baby too, it's not too soft so she doesn't sinks after using it. I had it for 3 months and just love it, holds the shape well and even when I nurse her at night when it gets cold, its warm enough too keep her comfy.Customer Review: May have saved breastfeeding for us!

I love this nursing pillow. My DS had a hard time latching properly and I had to reposition him often. We used MBF pillow for about 6 months when he seemed to outgrow the need to be lifted so high and liked a bit more wiggle room. I used the football hold and cradle hold and as DS grew, I did have to twist the pillow sideways to support the football hold. Now at 11 months, I just use a regular bed pillow. My neighbor is borrowing the MBF with her twins and says it is an absolute must, especially for her tiniest baby. I also love the little cloth bag. I kept a a tube of lanolin in mine.Customer Review: BEST breast feeding pillow!

Don't buy a boppy for breast feeding- it is crappy and has NO support! I have no idea where mine is- waste of money. Anyways being a first time mom this pillow is a life saver! It's soft and helped me out a lot- still does! I am large up top and it would be a task for me to hold my daughter and nurse, this is awesome. It supports her firmly and helped me get her latched quickly. I highly recommend this pillow- make sure you buy the deluxe it's super soft and the pocket up front is great to hold a phone, clicker, water- whatever. We got this at our baby shower and I kept on using it until a few days ago - our baby just turned 4 weeks :-).
It really helps in latching the baby on and seems comfortable for him. Also, especially if it is a "big boy", like ours, having him on it makes it easier to hold him. BUT: while it is not rocket science to put it on, it takes some "experience" to do it one handed, with the baby in the other...
I sure would recommend it at least until the new mom figures out how to nurse the "relaxed" way, with the baby in your lap.
