Baby Products Reviews of Munchkin White Hot Inflatable Duck TubCustomer Review: We love this tub! Summary: 5 Stars
Our son is 6 months old and weighs 20 pounds. He can sit up unassisted and he was getting too big for his Fisher Price Aquarium tub, which is also great, but for babies that can't sit up yet. We got this tub because we thought it looked more comfortable. It is! He loves to take a bath in it and he sits back and reclines against the duck's tail, which is a comfy pillow. We've had no problems with leaks. I noticed other reviews that mentioned problems with the temperature sensor. I didn't even know it had one. That was not one of the selling points for me. I don't need a sensor to tell me if the water is too hot for my baby. Whether it works or not, this is still a great tub at a great price. Highly recommended for babies that can sit up, otherwise I recommend the Aquarium tub by Fisher Price.
Customer Review: Cannot beat the value to use to quality ratio Summary: 5 Stars
When we headed out of town for a weeklong trip with family, I ordered this tub to meet us there.
Our little guy was just 6mos at the time and still needed a tub.
This duck was super convenient while there and when we headed home, we let out the air and took it with us.
Once at home, we continued using this as his bathtub (in the regular tub) until about 2 weeks ago just after he turned one.
It's a bit of a snug fit for up to 2years old, but I could see how it might work. Especially considering the baby stays nicely surrounded by water with MUCH LESS water than filling the tub.
After every use, we hung it up to dry and only ever had to top off the air once.
EXCELLENT value and usability factor!
Customer Review: Wish it accomodated smaller babies Summary: 4 Stars
This bathtub is great, but it only works for children who can sit up without support and even then, it probably won't last past a child's 2nd birthday. It's too narrow for a bigger child. I know it's a lot to ask that a tub work for a newborn baby, a sitting baby, and a toddler, but as a parent with tons of baby things already, I look for items that will accommodate and grow with my child. Anything that will last longer and is multi-functional is greatly appreciated.
However, like I said, it is cute enough that I bought it anyway and my son loves playing in it. I agree with the other reviewer who said that the baby can't squeeze the beak. It might just be that it's fun for us adults to watch their child play in such a cute tub.
Customer Review: Best baby travel bath tub!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I never write reviews, but just had to write one for the Munchkin Inflatable Duck tub. This has been one of the best baby items we have ever purchased!! We bought this tub over a year ago - my daughter is 17 months now, and we still use the tub - she absolutely loves it. The tub itself is a perfect size, fits into a standard size bath tub beautifully and the quacking sound is so much fun for her. This tub has been everywhere with us - ski trips, Florida, the beach house, Nana's house, etc. Easily fits into any travel bag and takes no time to inflate. The "white hot" spot is great to indicate whether the water is too hot - and my daughter is so comfortable in the tub. Do not hesitate to purchase, you will not be disappointed.
Customer Review: A Bit Unsafe for Young Babies Summary: 2 Stars
I was very excited to get this tub. My 7 month old daughter loved sitting in it without any water. On day two when I used the tub she tipped over and hit her head on the tub. It had already deflated a little bit. Turns out we had to refill it everyday to prevent this from happening. We exchanged it for a new one. Problem solved. It was losing air too quickly. However, it still loses a little air each week and you have to make sure to fill it up to capacity or your little one will tip. When our baby gets really excited and splashes around, she loses her balance even when it is full. We've had to pad the bathtub with towels to prevent her from whacking her head. It makes me a bit of a nervous wreck. I wish it were a bit more sturdy.
