Baby Products Reviews of Munchkin White Hot Inflatable Duck TubCustomer Review: Great tub! Summary: 4 Stars
The last time I bathed my 10 month old son in the kitchen sink, it literally looked like it rained inside the kitchen from his splashing! He loves baths and splashing is sooo much fun for him, but the big bathtub is a little too large for me to feel secure bathing him in without a support aid. I bought this tub, and it works great! He loves the quacking sound when you press the bill. He's 10 mos. old and about 22 lbs, 29", so this tub may only fit him for another six months or so (it seems he may be too big for it afte that), but the small investment is worth it in the short-term. The only drawback is that you have to inflate it, and unless you can keep in in the tub (or have ample storage room), it would have to be inflated and deflated each time. Fortunately, we have an air compressor and the tub in our guest bath is rarely used by anyone, so it just remains in the tub, inflated, rady for our next use!
Customer Review: HIGHLY RECOMMEND duckie tub! Summary: 5 Stars
We just LOVE our duckie tub! I've been using it since my son was 9 months old (because it's VERY hard to use if baby can't sit up by theirselves yet) I think it's so much safer for your baby to be in this cushioned, air tub than to be against the hard bathtub sides. You also only have to fill up a small area for bath time, and you just pull the plug when your done with it. You really don't have to deflate it...ours stays inflated, in the corner of the bathroom all the time. I also think this is a very durable product. My son has drug his duckie all around my house, and it's held up with no holes for over a year now. I actually even bought a couple more for the grandparents houses, to make bathtime safe and fun for them too! out of all the products that I've purchased for my baby since day 1, this it the one that i recommend the most!! I don't know how we would of done bathtime without it!
Customer Review: LOVE IT! Summary: 5 Stars
I love this tub. I have used it for my son since he was born, first with a bath sling inside for sponge baths, then filling with water and him on the sling, then when he could almost sit up we just sat him in the corner and he leaned against the back. Now I am sooooo sad that he is almost 2 and getting too big for the tub. I tried recently to put him in the tub without it and he was NOT happy. He loves it too. I never have to worry about him trying to stand up and slipping and falling due to the big tub is just too slippery for little toddlers. I did get one hole in the tub (my fault, I was careless) but it was easy to patch up and has held up for two years. I plan to keep using it for our new baby coming in a few months. Wouldn't bathe baby any other way, and I give this as a gift for all all baby showers I go to.
Customer Review: Cute and functional Summary: 4 Stars
I love this tub for my babies. It's easy to inflate, holds air well, has a nonslip bottom so they are a little more secure as well. The duck "quacks" which my kids love. The "too hot" feature on the bottom is nice too (I don't completely depend on it but it's helpful when choosing a temperature). My baby loves it. My two year old likes it as well which is just fine by me, we'd been bathing her in the "big" tub but this uses less water and she can't slip around or fall like in the big tub.
The only thing I don't LOVE is that it's a little hard to fill because both ends are too high to just put under the faucet. It's not super inconvenient though, I just push the tail end a little flatter to fill and since it's small it doesn't take forever to fill or anything. If not for this I'd give it 4 stars.
Customer Review: Really impressed with this duck Summary: 5 Stars
I didn't expect much for the price of this inflatable duck but am pleasantly surprised by its value. I purchased it as a bathtub, but my daughter ended up hating her bath in it, so now we just use it for a toy for her to climb on and play in. We inflated it once - about 3 months ago - and it's completely inflated still. We drag it around on the carpet and climb all over it, and it's still holding up great. I expected a hole or some air leaking out of it, but so far it's held the same amount of air since the first day I inflated it. It's pretty big, so it does take up space, but once she's done with it, we can just deflate it and store it until the next baby is ready for it. The only downside is that sometimes the beak doesn't quack when you squeeze it for some reason, but then the next day it will.
