Baby Products Reviews of Munchkin White Hot Inflatable Duck TubCustomer Review: Works Well, Except... Summary: 4 Stars
When we first bought our baby home, we needed a place to bathe him. So we purchased a bath tub device that fit into the kitchen sink. It worked well and we got good use out of it. However, after about 6 months of growth, the baby was getting a bit big for the tub. My wife began taking him into the shower and that worked well too. The kid just loves baths, I should add. Then my wife found this Munchkin inflatable tub which we're using at the present time.
The inflatable tub works well. It fits our tub well and the kid loves it. Personally, I could do without the cutsie-poo duck head and tail as it increases the difficulty of storing the thing without deflation. Does the kid really appreciate the duck and recognize it? Not really. That corny stuff is for the adults and taking pictures. But the tub itself works well. He loves splashing with a little bubble bath in it. Our faucet extends far enough that the tub water can be continuously refreshed. The tub is easy to drain. I just open the plug and wait for the water to leave (holding the plug open with one finger speeds the process). I like the little heat indicator, but my own testing by dipping my hand into the water is all that's really needed. It's a good product that's probably a bit overpriced.

Customer Review: Perfect solution for shower stalls Summary: 5 Stars
We have 6-month-old twins in a typically small NYC apartment. They were quickly outgrowing the kitchen sink but we don't have a bathtub, just a 30"X30" shower stall.
This tub fits the bill perfectly (no pun intended). Most baby tubs are relatively enormous (and sized for a bath tub), but because this is inflatable it folds down into the storage stool with no problem, and because of the suction cup on the bottom it hangs dry on the wall of the shower stall. It's sturdy enough for a big baby, I can't see needing a plastic one for at least another year. The babies love it; they splash and can hang on to the sides or be supported by them. The bottom is just textured and padded enough they don't slip around. Excellent design and perfect size. Our babies actually have bath time now. It might just be the best $15 I've ever spent.
Other notes: I would recommend for babies who can sit up unassisted or very close to it. Having a handheld shower head helps a TON for the shower stall. For you twin parents out there, this isn't really big enough for both of them, so we bathe them one at a time. Travels very well - hello holidays. The beak squawks when you squeeze it, they don't seem to care about that (yet).
Overall it's a no-brainer product. Enjoy!
Customer Review: Great Produckt (couldn't resist!) Summary: 5 Stars
My 5.5 month old daughter has outgrown her newborn bathtub, the kind that is hard plastic and she reclines in. She is not quite sitting up on her own and so is not ready for those "cage" type seats or to sit in the tub without anything. I was searching for something in-between and read reviews on Amazon. This duck tub got the best reviews! Now, I see why!
I bought the duck tub (at Target, $5 cheaper than here) and in pink. My daughter LOVES it.
Reasons why it rocks:
1. The quacking duck, daughter loves it.
2. The size is perfect for babies not yet ready for the big tub but too big for the infant tub (for example, my daughter is 25").
3. It's soft and cushy, especially the bottom where she sits.
4. The "hot" indicator lets you know the right temp for the water.
5. My daughter was able to sit up in it, leaning against the back while the sides of the tub provided enough support so she didn't fall forward (she did try to propel herself forward to reach a toy, though, so be careful!).
6. It provides for enough room and water for her to splash around and play with her toys, the infant tub didn't.
7. Easy to blow up, dry and wipe clean.
8. It's just so darn cute!
Customer Review: Best Baby Bath for all of us ! Summary: 5 Stars
In 2002 my mom in law bought this for our daughter. She loved it! And used it for a long time. In 2004 my third daughters bathing time was fun for her & us. Then we packed it away & couldn't figure out where we stored it. In 2006, after looking for the first one which is in like new condition, momma in law bought her last granchild a new one.
My son is a little over 7 months now & we started putting him in it at 3 & a half months because he outgrew the newborn tub. He's not a baby who sits still so I put a baby bath foam insert into the bottom so he wouldn't slide around. Worked great! At 5 & a half months I bathed him without the insert. He loves the duck! At 7 months & 23 lbs. he sits up very good unassisted. I don't bother with the temp sensor, it is useless, I always make sure to warm the bathroom first & test the water with my wrist with all five of my children. Too bad this product wasn't around in 1986 & 1988 for my oldest two.
I'm thankful it has been available with my youngest three children. It makes bath time a joy for them & us.
I would highly recommend to everyone! And for the money & experience you can't go wrong. Happy baby bathing!
Customer Review: *~*~*~*~*~*~*~PERFECT FOR TWINS~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Summary: 5 Stars
We bought this when my girls were able to sit up on their own very well, probably around 7-8 months. I had been using a newborn to toddler tub in the kitchen sink which was great but I could only give 1 a bath at a time(leaving 1 of them always unhappy sitting in their high chair) plus they discovered what splashing was and my hardwood floor didn't like that.
The perfect solution was this inflatable duck tub. The first time I put this in our tub, filled it up & added daughters, they had a blast! They were laughing and squealing and splashing all over.
The sides are a great height for them to hold onto and keep themselves balanced and they are durable as well...even when both my girls lean on the same side it doesn't smoosh down.
This has really made bath time easier and more enjoyable for me and especially more enjoyable for them.
It only takes me about a minute to blow this up. I don't think the temperature dot works well, I think my girls would freeze if I payed attention to the dot but I always rely on myself to test the water, not any type of gadget anyhow.
