Baby Products Reviews of Munchkin Two Snack Catchers, Colors May VaryCustomer Review: Must have for snacking babies Summary: 5 Stars
Love this product. I needed something to let my 13 month old have a snack in the car seat, or while playing or while waiting at a restaurant that didn't require my assistance AND didn't make a giant mess of everything. This fits the bill. She mastered it just after a few tries (she was frustrated at first, but after I showed her how it works and stuck her hand in it for her, she figured it out). She's eating her Cheerios, is happy as a clam, there are no "O's" on the floor, and I'm typing this review :-)
Customer Review: Snack Catcher didn't stop my toddler Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this snack catcher in the hopes my one year old son wouldn't make a total mess of his snacks. That worked...for about 30 seconds. The design is nice in theory and works well for adults and probably older children. However, it doesn't work for the group it was designed for - toddlers. My son figured out how to press one flap down and shake the snack catcher, which caused all of the snack to fall on the floor. He also reaches in and grabs a fist full of food and spills them everywhere.
Customer Review: Toddler Must Have Summary: 5 Stars
I had gotten these when my daughter was she younger. She wasn't really interested in using them. Then out of nowhere she has one in her hands at all times. I love them because they keep her snacks in when she strolls through the house. Also deters my food stealing dog from trying to snag any, mush unlike open bowls. They have gotten lots of heavy washing and use and are holding up great. I wasn't wild about the cups I had gotten in the set with these 2 from BJ's, but the snack bowls are great!
Customer Review: Great for travel Summary: 4 Stars
My son's aunt recommended these to us. They're user-friendly and perfect for little toddler hands. Although the cereal does fall out, there is a much smaller mess than there would be with a regular bowl.
Sometimes a piece will get stuck in-between the flaps and if my son is shaking it (upside down usually), cereal will fly everywhere. But that's to be expected. Overall, it's a great invention. The plastic lids are also super soft and flexible, being gentle on my son's soft hands.
Customer Review: Great idea, OK implementation Summary: 4 Stars
The design of these are far superior to other snack cups and they work well. They work well with cereal, dried fruit, and other snacks without spilling when overturned. But the rubber flaps that hold the snacks in are somewhat stiff. The problem being that it's easy to get your hand in to retrieve the snacks, but they kinda grab when you try to pull them out. Maybe over time they will loosen a bit. My three year old likes it, but my one year old has a hard time getting the snacks out.
