Baby Products Reviews of Munchkin Two Snack Catchers, Colors May VaryCustomer Review: Great concept, needs improvements Summary: 2 Stars
I got this in preparation for a plane trip to keep snacks handy for my 14 month old. I experienced the same thing as others, when he had his hand in it he would shake it around and goldfish went flying. The floor around my seat on the plane was littered with little fish. I think as he gets older the cup will be more effective, but the other complaint I have is that there is no lid to keep the snacks fresh. The slotted silicone lid allows air inside and the snacks quickly become stale. I have to stuff it into a ziploc baggy when I'm not using it to keep the snacks fresh.
Customer Review: Now my 1 year old can eat whenever he is hungry. Summary: 5 Stars
My son is hungry most of the time, and I had to constantly hand him Cheerios one at a time in the shopping cart, stroller, and at home. Now he can help himself, and when it is attached with a sippi gripBooginhead SippiGrip - Pink, I don't worry about him dropping it. He does make a mess by keeping his hand in the lid flaps and waving it around, and usually more snacks come out than are in his fist, but it beats anything else I have seen. Easy to clean, and the size is great.
Customer Review: Cups are pretty good Summary: 4 Stars
The only thing I don't like about these cups are their size...my toddler can eat everything in it in like a minute then is screaming for more.
and the rubber flaps that prevent messes on the top tend to bend and open up more after being in the dishwasher (top rack) a few washes. but we are still using the 2 we bought and I am actually online to buy 2 more :)
I was thinking about getting that Munchie Mug but i think I will let his nani and pop pop shell out the [...] bucks for me to try it :p Til then it's these handy dandy things!
Customer Review: Very, Very Helpful for the Car Summary: 4 Stars
These cups are great for holding dry cereal and small snack items for toddlers. My son can easily reach in and get what he wants without making a mess. This makes them very useful in the car when we're going on longish road trips where he might get hungry. The only reason I have them 4 stars instead of 5 is because, with a little detective work on my son's part, he was able to figure out you can turn it upside down and shake really hard to get the stuff out. So he can make a bit of a mess at times, but overall, these are a great addition to any toddler arsenal.
Customer Review: Very Handy! Summary: 5 Stars
We use these snack catchers almost every time we leave the house and at home, too. They are great for going to the park, at the movies...anywhere you go. Small snacks like cheerios don't fall out, and the tops are soft enough for a child's hands to slip through and pull snacks like crackers out without breaking them. The cups and lids are easy to clean and very durable. The lids stay put, even with frequent use. We've never had a spill because a lid came off. We've had them nearly 2 years and they still look new! My kids love these, and I do, too.
