I got these for my one year old who likes to pick up and eat her own "bites" (puffs, etc). She has figured it out for the most part pretty quickly, but she's also figured out that if she holds a flap in and turns it upside-down, she can shake out most or all of her "bites". So, it does work well if she doesn't have it in her car seat where I can't keep her from "dumping" her snacks. Of course for a child a little older, it would probably work even better!
I do love this product and would give it 5 stars IF it had a solid lid to keep the items in it fresh when not in use. Since you have to empty it out to keep things fresh, I'm only giving it a 4.
Great product, though, and well worth the small price!!! I'd definitely recommend and buy again.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product. I got a similar version of this when she was 10 months old and it worked okay, she was a bit young to have enough dexerity to work with it. As she gets older, that lid come off way too easily. Then I bought the Munchkin one in the store. This is a lifesaver!!! It works so much better! My daughter is 19M old now, and her snack cup follows her everywhere! The trap lid is soft enough for her little fingers and yet strong enough to keep the snack inside despite excited shakings. This cup even survive an accidental exposure to my two dogs. (Ewwww!) I have been looking around to get another one in the store without success, I am going to get a few more today for the holidays!!Customer Review: Not perfect but better than a regular cup

The snack catcher isn't fool-proof, but it does help keep the snacks in the cup. My son likes to turn his cup upside down, and this keeps the snacks inside when turned over. It is also nice because my son drops (or throws) his cups down a lot, and the snack catcher keeps everything inside when he does that, too.
We run into trouble when my son holds the plastic slots open and turns it upside down, which leads to the cereal falling out. I'm not holding that against the snack catcher in my rating; I'm just noting that kids can find a way to spill if they want to. All in all, it's more useful than anything else I've found for allowing my son to snack without always getting his food everywhere.

I bought these for my daughter when she was 14 months old. I thought maybe we'd use them in the future months, because I wasn't sure she'd be able to use them yet. All I had to do was demonstrate how they worked and she took on to them so quickly. I use them every single day. I use them in the house and outside. They are so wonderful when I take her grocery shopping. She can feed herself and it keeps her busy. She loves the little cups and I do too. I was worried about her pulling off the top, but that hasn't been an issue at all. It's on there tight enough. Don't waste your time on other products in your local stores, buy these! I've been really pleased and will continue to use them for a long time.Customer Review: VERY convenient!!

Since we enjoyed my original purchase of these snack cups here with Amazon, I bought a second set as I use them constantly. Whole items such as grapes or even small marshmallows stay inside easily but with crackers or cookies, crumbs will fall out when turned upside down (or shaken) but no big surprise there. :)
These are a MUST have for toddlers and young 'uns learning to self feed. I'd have to buy more if these got lost!!!
Easy, clean way for little people to carry their snacks and feel like a big kid. The lid is really easy for little hands to push through. :)
I'm up for any product that helps simplify life. Definitely recommend!
