Customer Review: One of my son's favorite toys!

I always read reviews on this website and the Babies R Us site before buying a product. This product got great reviews so I bought it - I was not disappointed.
I bought this for my son when he was about 4 months old. The music and flashing lights immediately captured his attention and, as he grew, he played with it more and more. I keep it in his playpen and it's easily his favorite toy (besides his exersaucer and jumperoo). It keeps him entertained longer than other toys.
I like that it's easily washable and has soft rubber-like corners (so, if baby falls on it, no sharp or hard corners to scratch himself on).
I also think the music is nice - nothing too annoying like a lot of toys out there. And, with the click of the "Orchestra" side, the song changes.
So glad I bought this!
Update 6/10: My son will be 12 months old this weekend and he STILL loves his Mozart Cube!
Customer Review: Quality Sound and They Like It

My twin babies, now 9 months, liked this one right away. I was surprised the music sound quality was better than any of all the other toys and mobiles and everything we have for them that plays music. And the Mozart pieces using different instruments makes the cube not tiring at all as I would have expected.
The cube is a bit heavy, but they roll it around without difficulty at all. They can't throw it and it has rounded edges, so it's safe for them. It lights up and eventually we'll all associate those different colors with the different musical scores.
I think for the price it is worth it without a doubt. Probably the price has come down and this used to be much more expensive because I notice in the earlier reviews mention about the high price. I am surprised there aren't more toys for children at this age, so the really good ones like this one do not involve much thinking before buying on my part.

I don't usually review items on Amazon - mostly because I agree with the star system that is in place. This item had quite a discrepancy between the stars received and how few I would give it.
As many people have mentioned, you really need to be tone deaf to enjoy this cube. I thought the others complaining about the off-tune music were just music snobs that had a fun time at "band camp" - but this isn't true! I'm about as forgiving as possible when it comes to kids toys (and didn't go to "band camp"), but I found myself replacing the batteries trying to make it sound better.
There is some kind of tone shift mid-note that I would only expect from a product that is out power. Do yourself a favor and find something else. I give it two stars mostly because as a cube it keeps my 11 month old occupied for a few minutes a day without breaking into small choke-hazard pieces. That's where the praise stops.
Customer Review: A Fun Toy for the whole family

Well, we bought this for our son's first birthday, and it really is a fun toy. I agree with some of the other reviewers that some of the intonation can be little off, especially on the first song. I'm not sure how good of a baby toy this is though. What I mean, is that my one year old really isn't in the least bit interested in it. He'll just crawl away and look for something else. So, why the four stars? Because the rest of my kids love it!! The 3 and 4 year old really enjoy it, as well as the 6,7, and 10 year olds. Even I've played with it some. So, I do think that it is a fun product, but maybe more for those a little older.
UPDATE: Well, I guess I reviewed too soon. My one year old has now discovered the cube!! He pushes the buttons(they are very easy to set going), and then sits and bounces and shakes his head around to the music. Very cute. So, this a great family toy--fun for all ages.

So the first time I received the box it didnt work. I was so sad. However I emailed amazon and they sent a new one out BEFORE they had even received the broken one back. The working one arrived within 48 hours. So needless to say Im very pleased that amazon treated me so well. Now that I have a working magic cube I love it. It plays each musical instruments part of the same song! I think its so mush more educational then just playing the whole song. Getting to hear each separate instrument or only select ones together gives you a different view and understanding of that song. My 14 month old loves turning things on and off and the song starts up where it turned off so you dont have to hear the beginning of the song a billion times. It is also cool looking! I wish I'd gotten it for him earlier. Definitely could have been a good toy to have when he could only sit and wasnt mobile yet. Also good to bring on car trips.
