Customer Review: Neat toy that my baby and his brothers love!

My son's 9 months old and we received this a month ago as a present for him during the holidays. I had put it on his wish list after reading the bazillion glowing reviews here on Amazon. As expected, he's loved it from the moment we took it out of the box. He's not one to sit and play with anything for long, but he always goes back to the Munchkin Mozart Cube.
What I totally didn't expect, though, was that his older brothers (ages 4 and 6) would sit down and play with it with the baby! They love to push the orchestra button and tell the baby which instruments they're removing (or adding on the reverse) as he pushes each button. It's absolutely amazing to watch them "learn" the sounds of the different instruments!

Prior to having my own baby I gave this out numerous times as gifts. Each time it was a hit. When I had my daughter, one of the mothers of the children I gave it to bought one for us. It is great for regular playtime as well as quiet time. It is a little loud, but not terribly so. It would be nice if instead of an on/off switch it was a volume control to lower it just a touch. I keep it in my daughter's crib and she likes to lay and play with it until she falls asleep. It's nice because I know when the music stops for more than a minute she's off in the land of nod. We received 8 months. Hayley is now 15 months and it is still favorite. Also, batteries last a long time. We just changed them yesterday for the first time.Customer Review: fun for any baby or toddler!

I bought two of these Munchkin Mozart Magic Cubes, one for my 11month old niece and one for my 1.5 year old daughter. They can listen to the violin, the drums, the flute, and a few other instruments. They can listen to the instruments one at a time or all together. Both of the children LOVE it. They can roll it around and dance to the music. I don't have to worry about them bonking there heads on the corner of the cube because the corners have been rounded off. We have also found, in our experience, that they are very durable. I recommend this product to any baby or toddler! I think it is loaded with fun and it is educational for them to listen and learn what each instrument is and the sounds each instrument makes!

I thought the idea behind this toy was great. I love all the different musical instruments and how you can put them together or listen to them seperatly. However, I do have one major complaint for this item. It is increadibly loud! I know that a lot of baby toys on the market can tend to be a little loud and annoying at times but this one has outdone them all. I tried putting the blue painters tape all over the holes where the sound comes out to tone it down a bit as I have with many of our other toys with speakers but this didn't do much to bring it down to an acceptable noise level. I hope that the manufacturers will come out with a new version of this toy in the future that isn't so loud as I think it is a great concept.Customer Review: BEST toy we have, by far!

This toy was given to me for my 1 yr old daugther. She is almost 2 yrs now, and she still LOVES playing with it. It is very durable, considering how much she tosses it (and that another baby played with it before they gave it to us). Also, we have only had to change the batteries once. We take it with us every where we go, and it has served us very well in the car - especially in those moments when she just doesn't want to be put in the car seat. It has been very educational as well, in that she can now identify each instrument by name and picture, and presses the appropriate button. She will keep playing the instruments over and over - and yet we don't get tired of it either. This is one of the best toys we have, by far.
