Baby Products Reviews of Munchkin Fold N' Go Diaper ChangerCustomer Review: One of our favorite purchases Summary: 5 Stars
We don't have a changing table, but purchased this pad to have a portable diaper-changing location. My only complaint with the product was that the changing pad cover that came with it was kind of a thin and scratchy material; we just purchased a very plush Munchkin cover, which solved the problem (and used the scratchy one as a spare when the nice one was in the wash).
We don't fold ours often, but it works as designed when we go on trips (it's easier to pack in the car when it's folded). The bumpers on the sides stay put, and my son found the changing pad very comfortable. If he was fussy, he'd calm down immediately when we set him down on it, and sometimes when we traveled, he even took naps on it.
Now that our son is rolling around more, it's easier just to change him on the floor. But I'm actually sad that we have to put this in storage!
Customer Review: awesome Summary: 5 Stars
We bought this diaper changer as an alternative to the flimsy changing table pad that came with our Changing Table. I wanted a nice "molded" pad and this one fit the bill. I love the fact that it can "travel" though we haven't done that yet with it. It fits perfect on my Jenny Lind Changing table and I feel it keeps my daughter safe and secure while I lean down to get things off the changing table shelves or while using both hands to "do the work at hand". I recommend. We are going to try this out tonight as a "co sleeper" thing in our bed as our almost 3 week old daughter refuses to sleep in her bassinet - she wants to be close to mommy & daddy so we shall try this product in our bed before we go buy a co sleeper product.
Customer Review: This works well for us despite flaws Summary: 4 Stars
We wanted a molded changing pad to use downstairs in a our living room but we didn't want it to be obvious looking. This works well for us because it folds in half and we can store it in a bin along with diapers and supplies next to our kitchen table. Also, because it folds in half we've been able to take it on trips with us - its a bit nicer than the fold up mats that come with diaper bags if you are going on a longer trip.
The cover that came with this pad was terrible - it was of very cheap quality and the fabric actually appeared damaged! We just didn't use it. It's easier to wipe down a waterproof pad anyway than try to launder a cloth cover so you don't really need it.
Customer Review: Great changing pad! Summary: 5 Stars
We've been using this since my daughter was a week old (8 weeks now).
We have a 2 story house, and so we use this downstairs on the sofa for a "changing area".
It's very soft and I feel very safe with my daughter on it.
It's strange but if she is crying and you put her on this changing pad - she stops.
I like the high sides. I haven't used it to travel, and probably won't because it's rather large for that.
I'm going to buy another one upstairs for the changing table.
Customer Review: I just don't get the point of it.... Summary: 1 Stars
The problem with this one is that when your baby urinates while you are changing it the urine goes right through where it folds up and right over the sides onto the changing table itself or onto the floor. you would be better laying just a towel on top of your changing table. I would buy a regular mat for the changing table and a regular fold up mat seperate for travel.
