Baby Products Reviews of Munchkin Deluxe Bottle Brush, Colors May VaryCustomer Review: Munchkin Deluxe Bottle Brush, Colors May Vary Summary: 5 Stars
ASIN B000E89BNU - It seems like I might be the only one reviewing this for a use other than scrubbing baby bottles. Which I find weird. Just thought I'd mention that.
I've got a fairly large collection of barware that has gotten more dusting than use, so I decided to put it back into service - because booze always goes good with a recession. The trouble is that many of the taller glasses have mouths that are far smaller than my hands and cleaning them was driving me... well, to dirty others. This brush takes care of those glasses just fine.
The suction cup that hides the nipple brush? Well, okay, that's a little superfluous for me. I like the suction cup, though, because it keeps the brush in one place. Things tend to get lost around the bar, which probably has something to do with all the drinking. The nipple brush, I have yet to find a current use for, but back when I had a bottle-drinker, I Krazy Glued the suction cup in place because the wire of the nipple brush does rust.
On the baby bottle front, I couldn't resist. With so many complaints about splashing water, I thought there might be some IQ deficiency in users of the brush, so I got out my kid's old bottles and gave it a whirl. Yes, it splatters a little water, but come on, you've got a kid who drinks from bottles, the odds are really good that you've recently dealt with ickier things than a little clean water sprinkling your cheeks. Here is a tip (not specific to this brush, just some common sense): when removing the brush from the bottle, point the bottle down into the sink, instead of into your face. I'm not seeing this as super complicated.

Customer Review: Decent, But Not Durable Summary: 3 Stars
We've been using this brush for about two months. It is used exclusively for cleaning baby bottles/nipples and milk pump accessories (horns/valves, etc). It is a decent brush, but does not seem to hold up, and we'll need to replace it soon.
Having the suction cup bottom is handy, as it allows us to leave it standing next to the sink without worried about it getting contaminated. It seems to work well on the bottles we use (Nuk & Medela 5 oz and straight wall 80cc). The bristles tend to fill the bottles well, and clean them thoroughly. When used on the non-straight-wall bottles, you tend to get sprayed as the bristles flick back to their normal position when pulling the brush out of the bottle. Annoying, but probably going to happen with any bristle-type brush. The smaller brush is handy for getting the inside of the Nuk/Medela nipples, which are too small to fit my fingers into for cleaning.
The major downside is that the bristles are already compacting on the larger brush, so it is getting more difficult to use in cleaning the pump horns, and doesn't get the corners of the normal bottles as well as it used to. We'll have to replace it soon, and don't expect the next to last much longer than this one.
NOTE: We still have a Munchkin brush similar to this style from about 4 years ago that is still in decent shape (just not something we'd consider clean enough to use for baby), and the bristles are still solid on it, so they may have changed materials at some point between the two purchases. That one has been used for a while to clean all sorts of things, and seems to have a bit of life left in it.
Customer Review: Very good brush, but can leave scratches Summary: 4 Stars
We got this brush after trying a couple of others and are very happy with it. The big brush washes our Avent and Born Free bottles very well and quickly, and the little brush attachment washes the nipples perfectly. It's easy to use and the suction cup feature is nice - no brushes lying around in a germy sink. I only have a couple of small complaints on this brush:
#1 - You really need the small brush insert in place to make the full brush comfortable to use. This isn't a big deal, but it can be kind of annoying (I have twins, so I was LOTS of bottles) I started washing all the nipples first, reinserting the brush, and then doing the bottles.
#2 - The bristles at the top of the brush are very coarse, and do scratch the bottom of my bottles. I would prefer that the brush just had all soft bristles (the white ones on the side are much softer) but have yet to find such a brush. If you are gentle, however, the scratching can be minimized.
All in all, a good, well-shaped brush for bottles and other baby stuff like bottles, and even high chair trays.
Customer Review: Now I use it for everything, baby-related or not! Summary: 5 Stars
I got this as a shower gift before my three-year-old daughter was born. I didn't even realize at first the the bottom unscrewed to reveal a more narrow brush until later. The large side does a great job at cleaning a bottle part, while the smaller brush cleans nipples and the grooves where it screws on and off.
Now that my kids are both too big to use bottles, I still keep it out and use it for cleaning glasses and other products in the kitchen. It doesn't shout "BABY!!!!" to everyone, so it doesn't stand out in the kitchen as out of place now that we don't have babies anymore. I even bought another to use on sippy cups at my parents' house while I was there on vacation, and - at their request - I left it there (instead of bringing it home to have a spare) so they could use it on items in their house.
This is one of my go-to items for baby shower gifts now, too. I don't even have to worry if it's a duplicate gift because having two wouldn't be a problem!
Customer Review: Love this brush! Summary: 5 Stars
It is nice-looking, which is good, because I can leave it suction-cupped to the counter next to my sink for easy access; sturdy; comfortable to hold and use; and the bristles are strong and sturdy-they are long enough to scrub into weird crevices, like the vent mechanisms of Dr. Brown's bottles (not the little hole portions-use the little brush those bottles come with or a pipe cleaner for that), yet flexible enough that they "squish" to fit into any bottle-wide bottles, narrow bottles, or even the wide-mouth vent shaft tops of Dr. Brown's bottles. I've used this brush with Dr. Brown's, Avent, Medela (even the ones for the breast pump), generic bottles and bottle accessories, as well as breast pump parts.
I love that the little nipple brush fits into the handle of the main brush. The color choices are nice.
We even bought another one to keep at the babysitter's!
