Baby Products Reviews of Munchkin Bottle and Nipple Brush, Colors May Vary

Customer Review: The bottle brush is okay but the nipple brush is HORRIBLE
Summary: 2 Stars

I am using coddlelife glass bottles. The bottle brush part works fine for my bottles, no complaints...however the nipple brush that comes with it is useless and I really needed something to clean my nipples with (the bottle brush sponge part is not able to get into the tips of my nipples so I can't use that either). The nipple brush bristles are hard and stiff and the tip should get smaller but it doesn't and I feel like I have to squeeze it in the nipple and when I turn it or pull it out it feels like it will scratch it. I would return it but I threw the packaging in the trash and when I tried to dig it out there was food on it so I left it in there. now stuck with this thing. I would not buy this again.

Customer Review: OK, but not great design
Summary: 2 Stars

At first it seemed like a good idea to have a little brush housed inside the big one. But we quickly found out that it is really not that smart. the loop is on the little brush. so if we use the little brush to clean the nipple or smaller parts, at the same time use the big one for a bottle or glass, it would be hard to decide which one to hang dry first! it is not possible to air-dry both if we want to hang it up. consequently, we ended up with rusted small brush, being inside while still wet. the foam part stays wet for a long time if you don't sqeeze out the excess water. This made the brush prone to house bacterias. I am looking for something else to try.

Customer Review: For what I use it for, it's perfect
Summary: 5 Stars

I originally bought this for the nipple brush to clean the kneading paddle of my bread machine, there's a hole where dough collects but only the nipple brush can reach it. Despite dozens of uses over 2 years (and I never dry it), the nipple brush has not rusted. Still looks new.

This spring I started using the bottle brush part to clean the inside of metal water bottles that I was toting milk in to drink at work. Four months of daily use, that part of the bottle brush is still looking great too, the sponge bit hasn't torn.

So, for those two uses, this brush combo is perfect.

Customer Review: Bad nipple brush
Summary: 3 Stars

I actually like the big brush - it's sturdy and doesn't bend when you wash the bottles. But I've been using it for less than a month and the sponge is already falling apart. I bought this brush for its convenience - I liked the idea of having two brushes in one. But you can't use the nipple brush - it's too thick and harsh. After cleaning my Born Free slow flow nipple with it, the flow was no longer slow. I love Dr. Brown's nipple brush - it's thin and soft and cleans nipples as well as breastshields and valves really nicely.

Customer Review: Good brush for the money
Summary: 4 Stars

I've tried a few different bottle brush brands. This one is the best one I think, for the money. Yes, the nipple brush is small and scratchy. We just use the sponge on the stop of the brush to clean the nipples, before we boil them anyway. The sponge is finely meshed, so that your soap lasts longer. I've had this brush 3 times, and never had it break on me or anything like that. So, when I was buying baby items anyway at Amazon.com, I decided to throw in a new brush, as our current one is due to need replacing soon.
