Baby Products Reviews of Munchkin Bottle and Nipple Brush, Colors May Vary

Customer Review: I would not buy again nor recommend. Try the deluxe brush instead!
Summary: 1 Stars

After using a Munchkin "deluxe brush" for a few months of baby bottles washing (Medela brand, plastic), the bristles started flatening at the end and stopped doing their job.

I decided to try this Munchkin "regular" brush that has a sponge tip instead of all bristles to see if it was making it easier to clean the bottom of baby bottles when a little formula powder or something else gets caked on.

First, let me say that the sponge does not work better than bristles at removing product from the bottom of bottles.
The bristle part of this brush is a lot less "hairy" than on the deluxe brush and so does a poorer job at cleaning the sides.

All this would be OK if the overall quality was good. Unfortunately, after only 2 weeks of usage, this brush is already in very poor condition: the sponge end has started desintegrating into little pieces and there are not enough bristles to compensate once the sponge is gone.

For me, this brush was not money well spent and, for only about a dollar more, I am going back to the deluxe model, which lasted over 6 months. I recommend you look at the other one too!

Customer Review: I hate this brush, and hate may not be severe enough.
Summary: 1 Stars

I hate this brush. I absolutely hate it.

Disclaimer, I don't have a baby. I bought the bottle cleaner to clean normal water bottles.

The nipple brush, which I am sure is a wonderful invention, is annoying. It constantly falls out, never dries properly because it's trapped in the humid tube.

Every time I try to use this brush, the nipple brush manages to detach itself. Eventually, it broke off from the cap because it's poorly attached to it to begin with, then, the wonderfully designed (/sarcasm) nipple brush was stuck in the tube forever, collecting dirt, bacteria, mold, and that which shall not be named. The cap, of course, continued to fall off.

As if that is not annoying enough.

This brush is short.

It is very short.

Unless if the bottle is made for midgets (sorry babies), this brush is not going to reach the bottom of the bottle. I find stuffing a sponge in the bottle then using a spoon or a pair of chopsticks to clean the bottle more useful than using this brush.

This product is pathetic. Don't buy it. It's a waste of money.

Customer Review: The Best Bottle Brush for the Money
Summary: 5 Stars

We have 3 kids and have used a lot of different bottle brushes before. Some of them even cost $10+ which is a rip off. Although this one is a little better than the others, none of them really lasts. There is actually no reason to keep bottle brushes very long because they collect bacteria and germs that you want to throw them away after a couples of months or less.

Available in different colors.
It has a screw-in nipple brush inside the handle.

Pros:
-The biggest plus about this brush is that the foam on the tip is strong and durable. It has a rougher texture than ordinary foams.
-Value wise, I am very happy with this product. Available at some popular local stores around 2$
-Very simple design.
-Good handle grip

Customer Review: Great Basic Bottlebrush
Summary: 5 Stars

I used this brush for my daughter's bottles. I didn't have the rust/mold issues with the nipple brush, which I used and loved, because I let it dry before putting it back in the handle. That's common sense people, of course it's gonna turn gross if you put something wet in a closed space (that's why you dry dishes before putting them up).

I put the big brush and the little nipple brush in the dishwasher about once a week, separately, not with the little brush in the handle. The foam on the end help up pretty well for me. Even after some of the foam comes off it still works great. Had to replace the brush after 6-8 months but at the cheap price I didn't think that was a big deal at all.

I have bought this brush for tons of new moms - I think it's a great, cheap tool!
