They are MUCH MUCH More Comfortable to Hold that the other Spoons I have used.
The Metal from (the Gerber Spoons) does not sit comfortably or ergonomically in my hand at all. In fact it digs in when you have to use that death grip when baby bites the spoon or tries to grab it. So I Needed something else.
These were not exactly what I expected. In the pictures on here, they looked very rubbery, like they would be bendable, and double as a good teething toy. They in fact are a sturdy plastic, and the scoop part is a more pliable plastic. I guess it's a good thing they are not too rubbery because they may not be as sturdy and baby may want to bite them instead of eat the food.
The scoop is much deeper that it appears in the picture. So Much that every time the spoon comes out of my daughter's mouth (14 months) the scoop still has about a bite's worth of food in it, that is when she's eating something thick and sticky like oatmeal that mounds high on the spoon. I do think these are much better for older babies, because new eaters may find the deep scoop and high sides of the scoop uncomfortable.
They are quite long, and like I said Comfortable for parent to hold, and to feed the baby from your own seat at the table is much easier than the other spoons.
These are Perfect for parents to feed their advanced eater babies. Not a Toddler Training spoon. Too Long, though the deep scoop would be nice for that purpose, so they may figure out where to hold it so they can get it into their mouth, and the food would still be in the scoop.
These Are Available at Target, so Go Check them out and Buy them from there if You have One near you. Ordering from Amazon was easy and quick delivery as usual, but we live over an hour from Target.

I've used the soft-tipped spoons from other makers, but they don't come close to the how great these have been for us. I bought a Munchkin dishwasher bin to wash various forms of baby detritus in and it happened to come with a free spoon. This was before I had the baby, but I managed to keep it around with my other spoons that I'd purchased/received for him. Once he was ready for solids, I started with the soft-tipped spoons and was not too excited about them. Even for his first feedings ever the other soft-tipped spoons just don't hold enough food - they are too small and too shallow. This spoon is deeper, longer and heavier which is apparently the trifecta of awesomeness in baby spoons.
I didn't have the trouble one of the other reviewers I read did; I was able to get the food into my baby's mouth simply by tilting the spoon up and using his mouth to remove the food for him (but, really, he was able to get the majority off by himself). It is a very gentle maneuver and the food slips right into his mouth easily. Also, when making passes on his face with the spoon to recover food that inevitably gets on his chubby cheeks and chin, the plastic is soft and scoops it off waaaaay better than the soft-tipped spoons.
I'm really loving Munchkin products. I will not knowingly buy anything for my son that contains BPA and each time I start researching a product with the tag BPA-free, Munchkin pops up at the top of the list. The soft-tipped spoons are old-fashioned and simply not a very good design. I'm glad to have received the free one or I might not of known this awesome spoon existed!

I bought these spoons based upon some of the other reviews and like them. In my experience, they are good spoons, but could use one little improvement. (Although they are not the colors pictured,) I like the bright colors of the spoons and so does my son. They catch his attention easily. They are very durable, having been through many washes in the dishwasher with no problems. (Some of the other plastic and gel spoons that I have tried melt and curl up in the dishwasher.) I also really like the size and shape of the bowl of the spoons. The size holds just the right amount of food and the shape helps it stay in without spilling. The bowl was more than soft enough for my son's gums in the beginning and is strong enough to stand up to his stronger, toothy bites now. The length of the spoon is great for reaching down to the bottom of those L3 jars, but here is my peeve: I do NOT like the point on the end of the spoon nor the fact that the spoon is not balanced. I can't tell you how many times during feeding that I have put the spoon in a half-eaten jar or container, only to have it fall out and splatter food everywhere. Or, as happens just as often, the point gets caught on my hand or arm as I set it down to reach for my squirming child, flipping the spoon around and, once again, splattering food everywhere. If the point was just rounded a bit more, I believe that these spoons would be better balanced, and, in my opinion, it would make these the ideal baby/toddler spoons.Customer Review: Best spoons EVER!

I bought these spoons because I liked the bright colors. They looked fun and like they would capture the interest of my little man, who was just starting on solids. I also purchased the soft-tip Munchkin spoons (that are similar to the Gerber brand) and the Nuk temperature-sensitive spoons. Well, the Nuk and Munchkin spoons never get used because these spoons combine all of the best features of both. First, these spoons have a deep basin like the Nuk spoons. The padded tip spoons are so shallow that you can barely get any food on them. Second, these spoons have a soft tip. The whole basin of the spoon is actually flexible, which makes for a more comfortable eating experience for your baby. Third, the bright colors really do capture the baby's interest so they are more likely to pay attention once they get to that age where they are easily distracted. Finally, they have a longer handle than any other baby spoon I've seen so feeding is easier for the feeder. They are not temperature sensitive, but who feeds their baby without checking the temperature of the food anyway? This is one of the best products I've bought for my son! I would like to notify you that the colors I received are not the same as pictured. I received two spoons with pink basins (one with blue and one with green) and one purple spoon that is a pastel purple with yellow, so three of my six spoons are girly. - Holds more food than both the Munchkin White Hot Safety Spoon - 4 Pack, Colors May Vary and the Nuby Hot Safe Soft Edge Baby Feeding 4 Spoon Set.
- Two-tone colors are more interesting than the previous two options.
Cons:
- The spoon is long compared to other spoons (6.5" vs. 6" for the Munchkin Safety Spoon and 5.5" for the Nuby Hot Safe). I have inadvertently knocked these long spoons out of the Stage 2 jars and/or they have fallen out on their own from the Gerber Stage 2 plastic containers when they have been near-empty, prompting several trips to the sink or the restaurant bathroom to rinse before continuing to feed. That is why I think these longer spoons might be best for getting to the bottom of Stage 3 jars. I don't know because we haven't gotten there yet.
- Colors are not as pictured. I received blue/purple, purple/blue, blue/green, orange/yellow, orange/red, green/yellow. At least there are 6 different combinations. For now, my daughter plays with and chews on these spoons at mealtime and I feed her with the Nuby Hot Safe Spoons.
