Customer Review: Many uses but don't wash well

Versatile pad because of their larger size - I mostly use them as changing pads but they also work in the bath and as extra padding between the skimpy mattress and the sheet in the bassinet, but they don't stand up well in the wash. They pill and snag so badly you can't use them again until you cut all the strings and lumps off - some of the loops are big enough for baby to get hands and feet caught - and it's too much for a pill remover to deal with. I'm hoping they'll get to a point where there just isn't anything left to snag, but I imagine that will leave too thin to use for much else than changing pad covers.
Update 11/30/2007 - these have now completely worn out after 3-4 months of use and washing a couple of times a week. The vinyl waterproof layer inside has broken down and any spills soak straight through. However they did prove pretty durable despite the pilling problem (I constantly get my nails caught in them when picking baby up) so I will buy more if I can find them.
Customer Review: Protected My Baby During Thanksgiving Touch Football Games.

Every Thanksgiving my family LOVES to play touch football. It's become tradition and long ago we made a pact that everyone regardless of age would play - even the Grandparents! Imagine my dismay, though when I realized that my newborn son would have to participate in the game this year or else face being shunned by the family! I managed to find these pads on Amazon, and low and behold they protected him the entire game. Just make sure to order 4 or 5 of them and wrap the baby well. He seemed to enjoy getting tossed immensely and survived being spiked in the endzone by my uncle several times.Customer Review: baby pads

I am very pleased with these pads. I had gotten them for my daughter when her daughter was born 3 years ago. Now she has twins and after 3 years of heavy use, these pads needed to be updated. Couldn't find them in stores . Thanks to the internet and our friend, Amazon.com, we found them and are so happy. I will be ordering more for my daughter in law for her first baby!
They are soft, yet protective...just wish they also came in pink and green..but these pastels are fine.

I only use these under the sheet in our pack-and-play, where I rarely have to change it and it doesn't come into direct contact with the baby, because they pill so excessively whenever they are washed that the lint gets all over anything it touches. There are definitely better quality options on the market, though given the price they are alright as emergency back ups.Customer Review: Not what I was hoping for

I was hoping that they were more absorbent. They repel more than anything else, allowing baby, baby's clothes, etc to get wet/soiled. I would not recommend purchasing unless you are using them as a waterproof mattress protector only. They do not hold up well in the wash either. Even when washed on gentle cycle.
