I bought 2 of these as my family and I were going on a "nice" airplane ride. We have 4 children under the age of 4, and these were purchased to help carry our luggage, car seats, carryons, etc(which there were many of them). We were probably using them with items that were too heavy, but I was still surprised at how poorly they held up. The first one broke before we were even on the first plane. The second one ended up working until we had gotten home. I'm sure it would be very nice to use for shopping bags, maybe a light diaper bag - but if you're looking for something heavy-duty this isn't for you!Customer Review: Very convenient and helpful for shopping

I love my Mommy Hook. It fits nicely on my Uppababy Vista 2010. I use it to hook shopping bags to my stroller and when I get home, I just carry all the bags conveniently with the Mommy Hook. It's just nice and handy to have around. Sometimes I have a bag that I want to attach to my diaper bag, and the hook comes in handy then too. I'm not sure what other reviews are talking about when they say it's flimsy or cheap, but mine was pretty sturdy and I haven't had any problems with it. It's just as it looks. I use this hook a LOT, esp when my daughter was first born. I'm a working mom so i have to carry a purse AND the diaper bag into walmart....that's hard to do when you're lugging the baby carrier too. Not to mention...if you put all your bags in the cart..you have no room for groceries. I would set my baby in the front part of the buggy and hook this to the handle w/my purse and diaper bag on it. It gave me security b/c my wallet would be b/w me and the cart instead of hidden by my massive baby seat. It's worth the money!Customer Review: overpriced

I decided to look for a similar product at a hardware store after reading some reviews that stated the spring mechanism was flimsy. I found the exact same product (and better quality) for a fraction of the price at the Home Depot. When most sellers are charging about $8 for this, it makes better sense to pay $2.99 at your local hardware store. The one I bought at Home Depot came with the foam a little more centered, but I was able to move it up around the bend just like the mommy hook. This is a great idea and I'm sure a mom who was also a rock climber came up with it, because that's exactly what it is with just a little extra padding. But the price is right and it is cool to have, especially using it on a grocery cart to hang your diaper bag/purse. Hanging stuff off of a stroller is trickier because if your diaper bag has a long strap (as mine does), you tend to kick it. I stick to keeping it in the diaper bag and using at the grocery store and I really like it for that purpose.
