Customer Review: Cheap product - buy a hardware store carabiner instead!

I bought this product thinking it looked heavy duty, like it would last. I liked the idea of the foam wrapper protecting my purse. Within two weeks of receiving the mommy hook, the spring snapped open and the hook would no longer close. It wasn't as though I had put a lot of weight on it - all I had used it for was a small purse (less than 2 pounds). I sent it back to the store and got a replacement. After only two uses, the same thing happened to the mommy hook. We were traveling at the time, and did not want to carry the useless hook around, so we threw it out. We had contacted the store we ordered it from right away after the second one broke, and they directed us to the manufacturer. We contacted the manufacturer immediately, but they have declined to replace the second broken mommy hook. I could understand if the product did not hold up under heavy weight, or over a long period of time, but two hooks breaking in the same manner after only a few light uses means this is a defective product. I have done as my husband suggested originally and gotten a less expensive, but more durable, carabiner from the hardware store, and that is holding up well.Customer Review: High hopes, but disappointed

I had very high hopes for this product. Read awesome reviews and the hooks looked industrial strength. As a mom of a 6 year old and 9 month old twins, we frequently have a lot of stuff to drag around, so we were on the hunt for something strong. Initially these hooks worked great....we used them while traveling to hang the car seat bases from the stroller while walking through the airport. They are very strong hooks. We thought, "No problem for our day-to-day items." They held grocery bags, my purse, extra toys- you name it. Then one day I took them out to clip on the stroller for a trip to the park and the spring mechanism broke. The clip wouldn't stay closed. Maybe just a bum hook, that happens. So we tossed it. About 3 days later the second hook gave. Couldn't keep that one closed either. We were very disappointed. Expected much more wear and durability out of the these hooks. :(Customer Review: Genius little idea...

You wouldn't think that this is as handy as it really is. Before I got this, when I had my baby in a shopping cart, I would have to either put my purse in the main part of the shopping cart (and it would get lost amongst the groceries), carry it on my shoulder (such a hassle) or put it in the front of the cart with my baby (where she would proceed to pull everything out and throw it on the ground). I bought this little beauty and have used it non-stop since. I can clip my purse on the handle of the shopping cart where she can't get to it!! It keeps my purse accessible so I can get in and out quickly. I also use it on her stroller, as the basket on the stroller is way below her seat and isn't very convenient to put my purse in. These are the BEST stroller hooks. I'm actually back to buy some more, because I need the first pack of 2 to hold my diaper bag, and I want another one to hold shopping bags.
Oddly though, when I came back to buy more, the item picture had changed from the actual hook to a photo of a child (???). That tells people NOTHING about this product, which is truly an amazing product, but if I were buying for the first time and didn't already know what these look like and how awesome they are, I would not even click on this item with the current picture that is up. Please fix that.
UPDATE: Glad to see they changed the picture back to the item product.
Customer Review: Very good hook... I wish it came in different sizes

We've had this hook for a few 3 months now. My wife thought it was a waste of money until she started using it... religiously. Now she is asking for another one, but a bit smaller. This hook is great for shopping bags, purses, diaper bags, you name it. The only downside is that it hangs a bit to long for some of the large shopping bags. We own a City Mini Stroller. When at the mall we got a Nordstrom shopping bag which was just large enough to slightly rest on the rear stroller wheels creating a dragging sound. I know I can move the hook, which I do, but when gravity has its way, the hook finds its way to the lowest point. Please make a sligtly smaller sized hook too!
