This product does what it says it does and it is easy to install, but once it's in and adults need to use the toilet, it's gross. Part of the product sticks out in the urinal area, so urine will get splattered on it!! I actually only installed it in the baby's bathroom where nobody uses the toilet. For the other bathrooms in the house, I ended up just closing the bathroom doors rather than installing this product. Again, I think it's gross how urine could get spattered on it if you use the toilet.Customer Review: Good lock

I got this lock when my daughter flushed a shampoo cap and we had to buy a new toilet!! This lock did work at keeping her out (she was about 1 1/2 at the time) but it was loose fitting even though i installed it just as instructed. She would slide it from side to side.
I think your better off just keeping the door shut when you are not with the child... We ended up removing it after about two weeks of being annoyed by it sliding and twisting arnd.

a little complicated to install (easy after I figured out what I was doing) We have 2 kids right now 3 years and 1 year.... the 3 year old took 5 mins to figure it out but the 1 year old hasn't quite got it yet, but sometimes if he's determined enough he can get into it, it does give us time though to stop him when he makes a dash to throw his newest treasure in the bowl. Good quality but not a perfect solution.... (my cell phone still ended up in the toilet ...enough said)Customer Review: keeps the baby out, but is simple enough for my 3 year old to use.

this is my second time purchasing these locks. they are ingenious, simple to install, and even simpler to use. my 3 and 5 year-olds have no problem opening the toilets to use them, but the lock serves to keep my baby OUT! and as he is the only one with no sense, i find that to be the most important feature. other locks have proven too difficult for my young potty-trained kids to open, and some were even tough for adults. this one seems fairly comprehensive.Customer Review: Installs in minutes for peace of mind

I have four kids, and have babyproofed two homes now. We have seven toilets in our current home and each toilet has a Mommy's Helper toilet lock. You literally install them in a minute, they're that well designed. I've not come across a toilet that they don't fit snugly on, and my kids have never figured out how to overcome the mechanism - well, not until I taught them because the locks were no longer needed for them. I highly recommend these locks :)
