I have 5 children and 2 of them are Autistic (10 years and 12 years) and since they are home from school during summer break, I have been having a hard time keeping them all from snacking all day long. This lock may not look like much, but it really has helped. I did have to remove the slider stick on it, becaue the 2 oldest could reach it too - but it works fine sliding it closed by hand as well.Customer Review: a smart kid can use a broom

I've loved this for years for my first three children. But number four learned faster (from the others) how to climb up on chairs and use tools to access things...so it was a piece of cake for him to grab a broom (or toy lightsaber, etc.) and just slide the lock to one side by himself. I wish I could find a 2-step lock (like twist and slide) that could defeat him.Customer Review: Great product

This product works very well. I had a Safety First bi fold door lock on our closet door previously, and it was useless. My son could open the door, and the lock would just pop right off - giving him even more incentive to open the closet door! This lock works great. It's also very low profile (along with being clear,) you hardly notice it.Customer Review: Great product

This has been one of my more positive experiences with a child safety product. I have used it for more than a couple of months. The installation was easy and my toddler is as yet unable to open the door. It hasn't left any marks on the top of the door either. It didn't even yield when my husband forgot it was there and pulled hard. Fantastic!Customer Review: Disappointed

I bought this for my laundry room that happens to have a bi-fold door. I followed the directions and it turns out this is too large and still allows for the door to open just enough to where little fingers can get pinched. I had hoped that this would keep the door from opening even the slightest bit. I would not recommend this product at all.
