Customer Review: Peace of mind

Nice, sturdy product. Gives hubby and I peace of mind when we're in crowded places. Yeah, my son's not thrilled about being tethered (what toddler would be--or any adult for that matter!), but, in this day and age, his happiness has to be over-ruled in this case. The clip in the back is a little hard for me to get on and off--heaven forbid I break a nail!, so I just purchased a light-weight, but secure, clip at the hardware store and it has made things easier for me. We don't use this all the time, just when we go to crowded outlet stores, flea markets, carnivals, etc. where there are too many faces to keep track of. It's just nice to know that I can turn my head for a second to tie my shoe and my son will still be there, next to me. Such a relief! I highly recommend this product ... and "boo" to anyone who stares you down, and makes a negative comment about having your kid on a "leash" ... don't be silly. This is just one more thing you can do as a parent to keep your kids safe!Customer Review: Prevent falls and runners with secure leash

This is the best ever to keep your toddler close at hand, and to keep him from falling.. Having tried 3 leashes (Dog with leash, new item blue/green backpack leash which seams broke after one month of my rebellious strong toddler)
Pros:
1. Velcro enclosure is snug and secure (dog one is so loose at 2.5 years) for babies and toddlers (length adjustable and girth too)
2. Placement of leash and snug velcrow is great to prevent falls--baby suspended in air
3. Hot weather: This is great-strong over the head leash with little warmth.
4. Wrist leash and removeable back leash are great options.
Cons:
1. Cannot grow with the toddler (will likely be snug on my 3 year old)
2. No backpack feature to carry stuff.
3. Not as cute or as warm/hot soft as dog leash in 100 degree heat at amusement park.
4. Wrist leash is useless for my strong toddler who removed it.

I bought this for my 16 month old. It fits him well, and would adjust to fit a much bigger child. He doesn't mind having the harness on, until the tether keeps him from getting into something that he was determined to have. This product is not a panacea. It will not make a child who wants to dart off docile, but it will help keep him/her safe, which is why I bought it. I like that the clip that attaches the tether to the harness is easy for an adult to get on and off, so that I can put the harness on him before we leave home, but only attach the tether when I need it (the clips on some other harness I've tried are so stiff that they're a real pain to do and undo). My only criticism is that you can't adjust the length of the handle loop. I'd like to be able to tighten it around my wrist rather than having to hold it in my hand all the time.Customer Review: It Keeps Children Safe

I was six months pregnant with twins, had a broken leg and a not-quite three year old who figured out pretty quickly that he could outrun Mama. When he nearly ran into a parking lot, I bought this item because his safety is my number one concern. When my son started getting rowdy in a crowded public location, I was able to slip this harness on him very quickly and easily because of the strategically placed velcro. I anticipated some snide comments from passerbys, but did NOT expect my son to give me a baleful look and announce (loudly): "I NOT a puppy, Mama!" Needless to say, my son did not like it one bit but it was comfortable and doesn't restrict the arms. It's a very good product, but it requires practicing with your child before it will be effective because the velcro WILL give if you and your child try to go in opposite directions.Customer Review: you might find a better one

This leash is okay, it does the job but my son hates it. He feels constrained, I think because there are so many straps. It can be a little confusing when you are trying to put it on, especially if you have a little one that doesnt want to wear it. It also doesnt fit snugly, the main strap around the belly rides up and the shoulder straps are flopping around all over. My son is 18 months and is about 26 pounds and even with the straps at their tightest it didn't fit snugly like the picture shows. We happened to be somewhere with another mom who let us borrow another type of 'leash' and it was just a stretchy cord with a hook to attach to a belt buckle or something and that worked much better. It was an 'out of sight, out of mind' thing with my little one, and since it had stretch- it gave him a little more leeway.
