This thing works great. It is not tough to open, but the button is built in so it doesnt stick out as a target for a kid to push. Also put it up high on your refrigerator door so it doesnt get played with. The adhesive sticks great, a couple times I forgot it was on the door and tried to rip the door open, held tight. Make sure you clean the area you are going to stick it with an alcohol prep, adhesive doesnt like a dirty surface (even if you cant see the dirt). The ONLY problem is I seem to forget to latch it back up after I open it.
