Baby Products Reviews of Moby Wrap UV SPF 50+ 100% Cotton Baby Carrier, SandCustomer Review: Super comfortable Summary: 4 Stars
This does take a little more effort to put on than my Maya ring sling, but once you get the hang of it it's pretty quick. I didn't use it much when my little guy was first born as I didn't find it easy to put him in the 'newborn hold' by myself, but as soon as he had some head control I started using the 'hug hold' a lot. He's now 3-1/2 months and 14 lbs.
Pros:
It's really comfortable to wear.
Distributes weight evenly, so I can wear it longer than a ring sling.
The fabric is soft, and has stayed that way after washing several times.
My little guy is happy in it and often falls asleep in it.
Cons:
I have to undo it to get my son in his preferred nursing position, which takes a moment or two longer than he'd like.
My husband wishes it was a bit longer so it would fit him too (only comes in one size).
Customer Review: LOVE IT! Summary: 5 Stars
The Moby Wrap is the best carrier out there! I love it. I bought three different carriers, a sling, the Moby wrap and a front carrier. This is the most versatile and the most comfortable! You really can carry your child when they are tiny to when they are large. I have been using this since my son was born and he is currently 20 lbs. I took it on a trip overseas and it was a lifesaver at the airport. He has been toted around by me, his dad, his grandma, and his uncles and aunts and everyone comments on how comfortable it is. We easily walk with the dogs every morning while he is in the Moby. He falls asleep easily in the wrap and you can breastfeed descreetly. If you need more skin to skin contact - just wrap them on sans shirt. I never worry about him being uncomfortable (no red marks-ever!) and I never worry about him falling out. Highly recommended!
Customer Review: Most comfortable Summary: 5 Stars
I carried my first born in this carrier comfortably until she was 15 months old. I used this wrap exclusively until she was 4 months old and that's when we got a stroller. It was easier because she slept the whole time making a trip more enjoyable. After that i would use a wrap for short walks, shopping, wear it around the house when multitasking and such. It was great for doctors office so to prevent the other sick young kids from coming near them.
But the reason I give it five stars is because it was indispensable while we were flying ( total of 6 or more round trips). She was very comfortable, slept 90% of the time, got the best baby awards from the fellow travelers, always!
Gave this to my sister and she enjoys it just as much. And she also has a very happy traveler.
Customer Review: Is good but not too practical Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this wrap after researching different types of slings and carriers. I am a first time mother and I was looking for something comfortable and easy to use. The moby wrap was great around the house with my newborn. It kept her secure and freed my arms. However, I noticed that it was a pain to put on and being petite (5'2") every time I was putting it on the fabric would touch the floor. This came really annoying when I tried to use it at the mall. Most of the fabric was in the floor getting dirty. Another problem was that no matter what I did I always looked like a Jedi from Star Wars (LOL!). Currently, I use a Bjorn (the one w back support) outside the house and the moby inside (I want to get something out of the money I spent). Hope this helps!
Customer Review: Not worth $44 Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this because a friend raved about & said how badly she would love to have it so I decided to give this a try! I bought this one because it was uv protected & the tan color wouldn't get too hot!! I tried several times to wrap it & get it like they had on the video & the instruction booklet but I just couldn't get it! I couldn't tie it in the front due to my larger size after birth & tying it in the back left too much hanging! Not to mention how HOT we both were in this thing in February!! I'd hate to use this in the spring or summer months!! I haven't tried using it for my son now that he's 5 months! I gave up on this & I'm out $44!! I just use a baby carrier (not a wrap or sling) instead!
