Baby Products Reviews of Moby Wrap Original 100% Cotton Baby Carrier, Black

Customer Review: Absolute Must Have
Summary: 5 Stars

I was hesitant to get a Moby because I wasn't sure what to do with all that fabric but it is surprisingly easy. I used it for the first time this weekend and couldn't be happier! I was able to discreetly nurse my 3 month old son in public by tucking his head in under the shoulder strap (making sure he could breathe, of course :)), and continue my shopping. Also amazing - I was able to fold laundry and clean while wearing him, he even fell asleep in there - I just wish I had had this while on my maternity leave!

I highly recommend this to everyone, especially if you have a "high needs" baby, like mine, who wants to be held the majority of the time. It is great to have both hands free but still have baby snuggled close. Both mommy and baby were happy, that is definitely a win!

Customer Review: Must have with twins!
Summary: 5 Stars

My husband and I could not live without this wrap. We have a four year old and two new twins. When we go out to eat, I always wear one of the babies while he carries the other in their seat. This makes it so much easier for us all to fit. The fussy one usually comes with me; the babies quiet down right away in this thing. They just love it. Not only is it comfortable--it's super duper secure. I don't need to keep my hands under their little buns or anything. You can ride them up high by your face by crossing it over higher up or lower, between the boobs, by crossing it lower down. It's really a great product and is a bit more stylish when compared to the other types of carriers. If wearing a black tank, the wrap almost disappears. The fabric is thicker than expected.

Customer Review: Love our Moby Wrap
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought a Moby wrap for my second child after having had an evenflo carrier with my first child that i hated. I wanted a wrap that would securely hold my newborn+ in multiple different positions and not just as a sling like most infant carriers are. I finally broke down and dropped the $40 on the Moby wrap and i'm so glad i did. The wrap feels safe and secure and leaves my hands free to do as i please. My son was born with colic as well and i've found it to be a great tool in soothing his gassy belly when i'm tired of holding him myself. He was born in late August so it is a little warm still so my only complaint is that we both get hot when i am carrying him around outside, but thats to be expected and unavoidable really. I hope to use this wrap for a LONG time.

Customer Review: Good but not perfect
Summary: 4 Stars

Pros:
washable and dryable
comfortable when worn for long periods
across-both-shoulders design helps with back strain
comes with drawstring bag and is packable to take with you
babies love being carried close and warm with this
great instructions with pictures included

Cons:
there's A LOT of material to deal with
can be hot wrapped in all that material
hard to put on and keep clean when not at home
cotton material is a dog/cat hair magnet

Great wrap for small newborns - mine loved being held close and would sleep for hours on me! I don't use it much anymore though - it's a bit more complicated than the sling that I use now that she's old enough for the hip-carry.

Customer Review: Should I have tried the sleepy wrap?
Summary: 3 Stars

I purchased this wrap and have liked using it for the most part. It's relatively easy to use, although there are copious amounts of fabric. I like it's packability and universal usability (my husband is much larger than I am and can also use it). That makes it more portable than the also universal baby bjorn. It is comfortable during long term use. It did seem a bit warm for the summer months, even for indoor use. I also wonder if I should have gotten the sleepy wrap instead. It is the same price, but people who are familiar with both wraps seem to prefer the sleepy wrap. I think the sleepy wrap is a little more elastic which seems like a good thing. When I use the moby wrap there's extra loose fabric here and there which is kinda annoying.
