Baby Products Reviews of Moby Wrap Original 100% Cotton Baby Carrier, BlackCustomer Review: Great for baby, and your back Summary: 5 Stars
I love the moby. I think it looks cool, it is pretty comfy (I've had a back injury and it doesn't put pressure on my low back). It is quite easy to put on, just read the instructions, practice once and you'll have it down. I'm not sure why anyone would say it is hard to put on.
Why I love the moby:
It is light- doesn't add weight to wearing your baby.
It is way easier on the back and shoulders than other carriers.
My 2 month old loves it and naps like a champ in it on really fussy days.
It frees one or both hands giving me some freedom to do other things while comforting her.
It is very easy to use.
Spit up doesn't show on the natural color! And- super easy to wash.
What I don't like:
It is a bit toasty on warm days.
Overall:
Buy it, you'll like it.
Customer Review: Must have for big babies Summary: 5 Stars
When I purchased this product I was 6mths pregnant, I just wanted something different. I delivered a 9lb 12oz baby boy, he is now a 22lb 6mth old and I used this product from the start. It is the best the wrapping of the cloth allows you to distribute baby's weight evenly and it doesn't matter which way I put him, he is confortable and so am I.I wear it everywhere even at home he has never complained, the wrap can carry up to 35lbs so I get to make full use of a it, while all the others stop at 22-25lbs which at this point since my baby is so big, if I had purchased anything else I would have had to give it away already. It is a life saver and money saver and it's easy to carry just fold it up and pack it in your baby bag its that simple, patience is key with this item. Love it best item on the market to carry baby especially big ones.
Customer Review: Awesome Wrap! Summary: 5 Stars
This wrap is very comfortable and versatile. It distributes weight very well and has lots of different holds you can try. You will have to practice a few times (for me I used a teddy bear before my baby arrived) to become confident with using the wrap. Then you will have to try different holds to see which your little one will enjoy the best. The instruction booklet is very helpful and includes step by step pictures. I have washed the wrap already and it washes nice. I washed it in cold water and placed it in the dryer for about 10-15 mins and then let it air dry overnight. I didn't notice any shrinkage, even if it did shrink, getting it damp and stretching it back out would do the trick since it's cotton. I like this wrap because I will be able to teach Daddy how to use it! I would recommend this wrap to my friends.
Customer Review: I like it... Husband doesn't! Summary: 3 Stars
I bought the Moby Wrap because my husband has a really bad back and couldn't use the original Bjorn or other pack type carriers. I thought because it was soft material it would hug baby closer to body, which it does, and take the pressure of his back! Anyway, he finds it too complicated to put on and get baby into but i quite enjoy it cuz i can get it quite snug to fit me and the straps over the shoulders can be spread out and not put pressure on my neck. This wrap does take some time to get used to... wrapping it, getting the right tension, getting baby in, etc... but if you are patient i think it will work for you too! As for my husband... if i am there i will help him get it on and working and if not... i caved in and spent the extra money to get him the Bjorn Active with extra back support!
Customer Review: Not Practical. Summary: 2 Stars
While yes, it is comfortable once you put it on and yes I like that baby can be put in it in various positions however, it does not make up for what a pain in the butt it is to put on and how friggin' HOT it is. Basically, it is a super long piece of fabric that requires wrapping, tucking, pulling and stretching. It requires a mirror so, forget about taking it on the go. The only way to use it is to put it on at home before you leave. The material is also HOT. I went for a walk w/ my 3 week old in it in 74 degree weather. I made it 10 minutes and turned around.....baby and I were drenched in sweat. Jersey cotton is not breatahble especially when its wrapped around you multiple times creating layers and layers. So, if you live somewhere that is warm to hot climate I DO NOT suggest wrap at all.
