Customer Review: My baby and I LOVE it!

I love this baby wrap so much, I use it almost every day, and I have it in three colors to go with different outfits. My baby is now 6 months old (17.5lbs), and he has been riding in his Moby since he was 2 weeks old (7.5lbs). I highly recommend this carrier. It has been so easy and comfortable to use, right from the beginning, which was especially important while I was experiencing post-partum back and hip pain. My husband and I are both able to wear the wrap (he's 6'/210lbs and I'm 5'/95lbs); he wraps it behind his back, and I wrap it in front.
*Tip: the flatter and wider the fabric around your shoulders AND across your back, the more comfortable it is to wear. Although my baby's typical Moby ride is only an hour (e.g. grocery trips), every once in a while he rides in his Moby for 3-5 hours (e.g. holiday shopping at the mall), with no discomfort for either of us.
*It's length does not make it too difficult to wear. For quick errands, I put the Moby on at home, drive to my destination, and transfer my baby from his car seat to the Moby after I've reached my destination. For longer trips, once I've reached my destination, I put the Moby on in the backseat, then transfer my baby from his car seat to the Moby.
*The more you wear it, the easier it is to put on and adjust it as needed. I make it high and snug to begin with, so I typically don't need to adjust it during quick trips. If I need to adjust the snugness, I hold him with one hand and adjust the straps with the other. Or I adjust the straps after a diaper change, while my baby is on a changing mat.
*Weather issues: In the summer, I used an umbrella to shade my baby and I during Moby trips outside and stayed in the shade. Every once in a while, I also brought along a portable fan with a mister. As for the winter, my baby wears a light sweater over his outfits, when he rides in the Moby. I wear a winter weather resistant mamacoat (made for babywearing) that covers both of us, and both of us wear a hat.
*In comparison to using a stroller, the Moby is significantly easier, less cumbersome, and more enjoyable. My baby prefers being held and barely tolerates the stroller. In comparison to using a Chunei (a soft structured carrier), the Chunei puts the weight of my baby on my shoulders (despite being snug around my torso), which becomes unbearable after a half hour. I've used the Moby for long power walks (1-2hrs), short errands (1hr or less), long shopping trips (3-5hrs), and short chores around the house (less than 30min).
*Cons: The Moby is not for everything and may not be hands free while your baby is working on head control. In the beginning, my baby preferred his head and arms free, so I'd always have one hand supporting his neck and only one hand free. Now that he has great neck control and likes his arms tucked into the Moby, I'm hands free most of the time with the Moby. In addition, my baby's not a fan of riding in the Moby when I'm standing in one place for too long (e.g. folding laundry, doing dishes, cooking). For those times, I put my baby on a playmat.
