Description of Moby Wrap Moderns 100% Cotton Baby Carrier, SlateFrom the Manufacturer
Be comfortable: the design of Moby wrap for it uses your entire back, as well as your shoulders, to carry the weight of your baby. Unlike other carriers, which have narrow straps or go across one shoulder, the Moby wrap is a wide piece of fabric that is wrapped over both shoulders. It is amazingly comfortable and easy to wear. There are no buckles, snaps or other fasteners. It is easy to adjust the fit of your Moby wrap by varying how tightly you wrap yourself and your baby. Be secure: the Moby wrap comes with an easy to follow instructional guide, with the single stretch cotton and the width of the Moby wrap, your baby is wrapped close and tight, insuring a secure hold. Your baby's head can also be secured under the stretchy cotton fabric for added safety. Be uniquely close to your baby: there is not a lot of extra material or bulky padding between you and your baby. Your baby can hear your heartbeat and finds comfort in the warmth of your body, along with the cuddly confines of the Moby wrap. Comfortably supports babies from birth to 35 pounds - even twins. The Moby wrap is long enough to adapt to your growing baby. Moby wraps measure 5.5 meters in length and Moby DS measure 5 meters. All Moby baby carriers can accommodate babies up to 35 pounds. Versatile: there are many ways to wear your Moby wrap. You can wear baby cradled, facing you, facing the world or as a sling.

Baby Products Reviews of Moby Wrap Moderns 100% Cotton Baby Carrier, SlateCustomer Review: best carrier i've tried (i've tried quite a few) Summary: 5 Stars
This is by far the best carrier I've tried and I've tried a few. Since the birth of my 1st child 21 months ago I have become somewhat obsessed with babywearing. i started off with an infantino eurorider which is made like a bjorn (except without the nice back support). This worked for the majority of my childs infancy but got uncomfortable after a while (my child preferrred to sleep upright due to acid reflux and took all of her naps attached to me for her 1st year). Than i discovered the Ergo(which i also highly recommend, especially for a back carrier-its the best). I have also tried the snugli by-my-side and the snugli front and back carrier- I don't recommend these due to the fact that they hang baby by the crotch, which, after a year of carrying my child this way in the eurorider, I learned this isn't good for baby's spine. I have 2 Hotslings, one stretchy and one non-stretchy. I can't say how these are because I didn't get them until my 2nd child was born and she doesn't like the cradle position but isn't big enough yet to be held sitting up in a sling. I got my Moby wrap about 2 weeks ago and I cannot say enough good things about it. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!
Here's why:
1) while it looks intimidatingly long when you first open it up, its actually EASY to put on after a few tries. after you wear your baby in it a few times you learn how tight to tie it for yours and baby's preferences
2) because all it is is fabric (high quality, soft but strong cotton)it is totally comfortable for parent and baby. you can customize how you wear it every time you put it on, and I don't just mean which hold you choose to use. I use the hug hold with my baby every time but I can change it depending on her mood and what she's doing. If she's awake and alert I keep her head uncovered but if she's asleep or about to fall asleep i tuck her head in one the shoulder pieces. tucking her head is also useful for when i need to bend down, say to change my older child's diaper or pick things up off the floor so her head doesn't fall back (no head control yet-she's only 5 weeks. sometimes i let her legs dangle free but I can also pull the middle logo section down to cover her legs and feet if I think they might be cold or to give a more swaddled feeling. also, you can chose how high up you want baby to be on your chest- tie tighter to have baby high, looser to have baby lower.
3) this wrap is comfortable enough to wear for hours at a time, day after day. I've been doing this since I got it 2 weeks ago and my back feels fine.
4)most importantly- my baby loves it. she looks so calm and content when I put her in. It helps her fall asleep quickly and stay asleep for a long time. this allows me to get things done around the house and care for/play with my toddler while my baby is SECURELY tied to me.
There are very few things I do around my house that I can't do while wearing baby- take a shower(duh), give my toddler a bath, and reach into the washer to get clothes out( it would crush the baby- this is true for all carriers used in the front)
The only thing I don't like about this carrier is that it would be difficult to put on while out in public due to the ends touching the floor/ground, as other parents have mentioned.
I think this is as perfect as a baby carrier can come. Don't be afraid to try it because of its length- its really no big deal. the instruction booklet it comes with makes it very easy to put on correctly.
