From the makers of the original tykelight the tykelight jr. And the tykelight glomate comes one of their new editions to the tykelight family. The tykelight roommate operates on a low voltage ac adaptor that plugs into any outlet. Its led lights produce no heat and are energy efficient. Four color modes green blue red and rainbow give your child a soft glowing light from anywhere in their room. The soft touch material cleans easily with a damp cloth. The tykelight roommate has a built in timer that when activated will gradually dim and turn the unit off after 15 minutes so parents do not have to turn the light off in the middle of the night. Unlike the other tykelights the roommate is a non-rechargeable unit so you do not have to worry about the battery life. Customer Review: Very nice nightlight

My son loves this nightlight. It is big and friendly, and we like that it is not portable as he prefers it to glow all night (12 hours) and wake up with it on. We first bought the portable Mobi Tykelight but it only glowed for about 9 hours when off the base. We also had to send back TWO portable Mobi tykelights since one just stopped working (we left it on on the base so it would glow for 12 hours - he thought it was too bright to be right next to him in bed and preferred it on the table behind his bed so maybe it just needed to be charged and emptied every night?) and the second one we got flickered non-stop. We returned that one and got this Roommate. In my opinion, this is a much better product.
I felt compelled to give this a good review after seeing the one star review. I wanted a lamp / nightlight, not a portable glowing plastic doll. To me the product description was / is clear and my six year old son loves the new nightlight. A portable product is also something else for our two year old son to run off with and hide, which he does with most of his big brother's things. I like that this is one thing that stays put.
