Pretty cool concept really... A light that my son can carry around with him wherever he goes, which was nice... While it worked. This item seems to be good for about a week and then it just craps out. In our case the lighting unit that's in the bottom and also serves as a charging port just fell out of the item shortly after it stopped working all together. My suggestion would be to stock up on disposable light sticks if you have the problem of your small child being afraid of the dark in the car.Customer Review: Exactly what I needed!

I was looking for a stand alone nightlight that could sit on a dresser and this is perfect! My 2 year old daughter loves "Mobi". She often asks to hold it while in bed. The blue color is bright enough to allow me to see my daughter when I open the door to check on her. The other colors aren't bright enough so after she falls asleep I sneak in, put Mobi back on the dresser and switch him to the blue "stay on" mode to make middle of the night wake-ups and check-ins easy. My 4 year old twins have had this for 2 years now, and love it! We leave it on the changing color mode before putting them to sleep and just leave it in its charger all night to make sure light stays on. The changing colors is sort of hypnotic and gives them something to look at while drifting off to sleep. I then change it to stay on the red color after they fall asleep because then this color isn't too bright for nightime. We never had any problems with charging or breaking down whatsoever.Customer Review: Shoddy product

This is a neat item, while it works.
We've gone through 3 of these so far, each one lasting less than a few months before they stopped working.
Feeling ripped off, I finally contacted the company for a replacement and they were completely uninterested in standing behind their product.
The level of apathy in their customer service was unbelievable, they just didn't care.
However, they were willing to sell me a replacement!.
Buyer beware...

My seven-year-old granddaughter loved this Christmas gift, which she took to bed with her. Unfortunately, after two recharges it now refuses to glow. It was such a good idea; so sad it is made poorly.
Update: the company stands behind their products and quickly replaced the GloMate. My granddaughter loves it still (months after Christmas) and calls it Glommy. If it dies again we'll just send it in again. I'll let you know if they stop their warranty service.
