This blanket only works when our baby is already nodding off and ready to sleep. When he's crying and fussy we can get him swaddled correctly, but he won't calm down. When he's super fussy, he will work his arms partially out and get caught. Then, we have to try and reswaddle him over and over and over! When our baby is already tired and calm, we can get him in this super fast and without fuss and he'll sleep swaddled and will sleep for an extra hour longer.
Just be careful when swaddling with this to make sure the top of the cloth hits the shoulder directly, otherwise it will wiggle up towards his face when the baby moves.
This product works for us about half the time.

This product has worked for my baby's arms but not her legs. She kicks her legs right out no matter how tightly I wrap her. I have ended up just leaving her legs out of the blanket.
That said, the miracle blanket is great for swaddling her arms. There is a flap for each arm, and my baby is not able to free her arms.
Another plus is that the miracle blanket is easy to use.
I was using the kiddopotomus swaddle me, and my baby was able to break out of that--both arms and legs. That is why I purchased the miracle blanket. It is an improvement over the swaddle me, but the product needs to be tweaked such that the legs cannot be so easily kicked out.

When we got this product, we only had one thing in mind "getting our baby to sleep, so that we can get some sleep!!!" It does the job well and our baby went to sleep very well and we LOVED it!!!
The problem was realized a bit late or should I say too late for us to correct. Since the baby is totally immobile, we had to lay him flat on his back because of the fear that he would suffocate if we laid him down at any other position. When we got a bit older we noticed that his perfect round head was becoming flat the the back because he has been lying on his back too much. He is now 18 month and it's still a bit flat... :(

I bought this after getting fed up with trying to make a secure swaddle with a blanket. It does an excellent job of securing those arms, my son has never wriggled free. However, it is a little bit involved to wrap up, the multiple flaps that have to be tucked underneath get awkward and I sometimes accidentally untuck one flap when trying to tuck in another that goes in the opposite direction. I also bought a Kiddopotamus Swaddleme blanket, which is much easier to use, but one arm sometimes escapes. I must admit I tend to prefer using the Swaddleme for its simplicity when I am tired and trying to wrap him up in the middle of the night.Customer Review: She can't get out!

Our baby can get out of any normal blanket swaddle.. this is great because you just wrap it a bunch of times around, no messy velcro or anything. Its nice and thin, so baby doesn't get over heated which I think is one of the best featureds. Most babies are actually over dressed... plus I am in Georgia so it doesn't snow much here... the house is always kept around 74 degree's so no need for something super hot. Cotton i just better. We also just got gifted the pink one so now we have two.
The first time I used it wasn't a good moment, she wasn't having it, but the last 3 times I've used it, it worked liek a charm.
