Customer Review: Worth the money!
Summary: 5 Stars

This blanket is well worth the money. We bought two of these from ebay.(Great to have two for when one is in the wash) My son, now 2 1/2 months, has been using it since birth. He stays swaddled all night. I am not saying that it is impossible for him to get his arms and legs out. It does happen on occasion. But this blanket is so much better than using a receiving blanket.(I was so glad to have this in the hospital when he was born.) We got a different kind of swaddling blanket at his baby shower. I tried it once and his arms were out in no time at all. It is so much smaller than the Miracle Blanket. If I tried it now, he would not fit in it. But he is still using his Miracle Blanket (and he is not a small boy... he is in the 75th percentile for weight and height). In fact we tried to put him to bed without it tonight because it is a warm night. But he cried and cried for a good half hour (not normal for him, I might add.) Finally I suggested to my husband, who was putting him to bed, to try the blanket and just blast the air on him. He stopped crying in minutes and was out like a light!

Customer Review: Amazing blanket!
Summary: 5 Stars

We have tried the Swaddle Me, the Swaddle Blanket, and the Miracle Blanket. The ONLY one our daughter AND son did not break out of was the Miracle Blanket ( she is now 5 1/2, he 3 1/2 - they each used it for about 3 months).

ADVANTAGES
* Works differently than others - holds arms at side with two "flaps" that tuck under the body (uses body weight), and then a longer piece wraps around the baby. The end result is a very tight but comfortable looking cocoon that works!
* NO VELCRO - The velcro on the Swaddle Me kept waking our daughter up and sticking to everything in its path.
* Keeps them warm with nothing else required.

DISADVANTAGES
* The part that swaddles the bottom half of the body sometimes come loose - you have to make sure that you wrap the blanket around the lower half o the body REALLY well!
* Nothing else we can think of

We are aware of other blankets on the market, but honestly haven't read a review or heard a testimonial from a friend to change our reco. We still get this as a gift!

Customer Review: Fantastic product!
Summary: 5 Stars

This blanket is an essential part of my baby's nighttime routine, every night. For the first month or so of her life, we didn't have this blanket and used other swaddling blankets instead, with mixed results. She would usually get free, and I was worried about her covering her face with the blanket, so I decided to try this product. It is SO much better than any other blanket we tried. While she did not initially enjoy being put in this, she now takes to it pretty calmly. She can't work her arms free at all (she's currently 7 weeks old), and she stays in a neat bundle the whole night. So, if she wakes up, I know it's not from her own moving around. It is really easy to use (takes seconds to wrap her up in it). The fabric is soft and lightweight, which I appreciate with a summer baby - she doesn't overheat in it, but once it gets colder it would be very easy to wrap another blanket around the outside. All in all, I consider this an essential item and just wish we had bought it sooner. Completely worth the money.

Customer Review: Swaddling Houdini
Summary: 5 Stars

My son is a big strong boy, weighing in at 13 lbs and 12ozs at his 2 month checkup and measuring over 24 inches long. This made it difficult to find a way to wrap him, even in the largest swaddling blankets we purchased. He is also a bit of a Houdini.

We bought the Swaddle Eaze product and were disappointed. Not only was the cloth cheap and scratchy, the velcro stuck to everything in the dryer! Additionally, I felt like I was putting my baby in a straight jacket at bedtimes.

So, I was thrilled when I recieved my Miracle Blanket. It is such a soft, quality cotton! And it is a gentle, but very effective method of swaddling an escape artist. My baby likes it too, no fussing or crying when I lay him down to wrap him up.

It takes very little practice to wrap your baby in this and you will love the way he/she sleeps longer and more restfully when you swaddle him or her. :) I recommend buying 2 so you have one if the other gets soiled.

Customer Review: Not for us
Summary: 2 Stars

Most people really like this, and I am in the minority of people who do not.

The way this thing works is that you pin the baby's arms to their sides and use these mini wraps to hold the arms down. Then you use the large wrap to swaddle them up. To me, the mini arm wraps were hard to use because I couldn't hold the kid's arms down, use the wraps, and then wrap up the whole thing without him wriggling free. It was too many things to do all at once.

In the end, we just used the large swaddling blankets we took home from the hospital. I don't know how others use a regular blanket for swaddling, but the way I do it only requires me to immobilize one arm at a time. Yes you have to learn how to do the multiple folds and that is too complicated for some people. But for us, it was just as escape proof as the miracle blanket but at a small fraction of the cost.

Different strokes for different folks...
