Baby Products Reviews of Microforce By Shavepro Cordless and Rechargeable ShaverCustomer Review: Freakin AMAZING!!! Summary: 5 Stars
This Micro Force shaver, I will now give you the pros and the cons. And I will tell you overall.
First of all, it is incredible!!! It not only shaves, but it is a really close shave, I mean really close, in the shower, under water.
Ok, Pros: This is better than one of those even 200 dollar shavers. Here's why, first of all it shaves extremely incredibly astonishingly close!!! What a close shave, I mean, my shave was just close!!! Better than my Braun 360. And you can shave in the shower, where it is wet so that you can get an even closer shave. Just amazing...!!!
Cons: Why does this product cost 20 dollars? So cheap, should I buy it? First of all, it doesn't shave long hairs, even fine line hairs. In fact, if you don't shave everyday, this thing doesn't even attempt to cut hair longer than a days worth of beard growing. It won't even cut my eyebrows cause they are too long, uhh, it won't cut finger hair, too long. So, this will cut short, coarse, stubby hairs in a snap, works good. So, if you're going to use this don't let your hairs grow too long. Third of all, its almost like a razor, because it irritates your skin slightly like a razor. But it is just as close. It leaves smooth skin, but razor irritations. cuts skin very often.
So, it's worth the money. Just realize the cons.
Customer Review: High-maintenance, low-performance POS Summary: 1 Stars
Let me add my own voice to the chorus here... the idea and initial cutting ability of the razor were impressive, but it became clogged with hair after the second use, which requires you to pull the foil off and brush the cutting heads off with an included small brush. After doing this twice, a tiny spring that held one of the cutting heads against the foil sprang off and disappeared; with that, the razor was now useless. Not to mention that the tiny foil falls out of its plastic housing extremely easily when the housing is pulled off for cleaning.
Right after I got it and had used it according to directions, it really did shave extremely well... which led me to buy a second one for my brother, which broke too. (I have a real knack for throwing my money down the toilet.) It looked too good to be true, and man, was it ever.
By the way, I've discovered "Shave Secret", a shave oil that has totally replaced shaving cream and aftershave for me. Doesn't need to be rinsed off, you can see what you're cutting - much appreciated if you like trimming your facial hair into a carefully-maintained shape (a goatee in my case), excellent razor glide. (A tip - use an old toothbrush to remove any hair that collects between the blades of your razor.)
Customer Review: This works, but at a very high cost! Summary: 2 Stars
I thought that I could use this as a shaver if I don't want to use my razor. But that doesn't work since your hair has to be trimmed already, but don't worry they have a product for that too! So, two days after shaving with my razor, I decide to give this thing a try. Not only does this thing do a bad job at shaving, but when I was done, my whole neck and face were irritated. It does get close to the shave of a razor and it's more convenient than one, but at the cost of your face screaming out in pain after you're done. The reason this is, is because under the microfoil, are two rows of circular razors buzzing around... No thank you!
And don't buy it here, you can pick one up in CVS or Rite Aid for ten dollars and zero shipping.
So her are the pros:
-Convenient
-Travel sized
-Almost razor close shave
-Water resistant
Cons:
-Batteries not included (2x AAA needed)
-Need to already have trimmed hair
-The razors tear your face up
-Only a little cheaper than the Gillette Fusion (My razor)
-Trimmer not included
All-in-all, a useless product. But I'm gonna put another ten dollars on the line, and try their trimmer. Maybe that'll make up for this.
Customer Review: MicroForce whisker puller Summary: 1 Stars
This product should really have a zero out of five stars, but I suppose that isn't an actual rating. I received this small in stature but large in worthlessness piece of junk for Christmas, which was convenient since I had lost a part to me REAL electric shaver during my travel home. I have tried using this shaver twice, each time on 2-3 day beard growth. The first time I used it I had to give up and borrow my step father's razor to finish the job, a gross, but unavoidable solution to the mess it left on my face. For the second occasion I was left with no alternative but use it until shaving was finished. My face and neck are burning, red, and sore. My shave appears somewhat close, but I guess it should appear that way since rather than cutting my whiskers, it pulled most of them out by the root. By applying virtually no pressure to my face, the micropuller managed to jam up every time I brought it to my chin, resulting in loud obscenities.
I guess if there is one good thing about this product it's that I will probably never have to shave again, since my whiskers will probably ne ver grow back. I guess they're right then... It is the last shaver I'll ever need!
Customer Review: Works like a charm if you're an everyday shaver! Summary: 5 Stars
I had shaved in the morning and purchased this razor in the evening. I had a light shadow of stubble and decided to give the Microforce shaver a try straight out of the box. I was surprised to find out that this tiny shaver gave me a closer shave than the razor I used to shave with that very morning. If you shave everyday or every other day, this should work perfectly.
This little bugger will do exactly as the packagage describes. It will give you a "close clean shave in half of the time" and you can "shave anywhere-anytime-even in the shower." It's way more powerful than I expected and I like that it's lightweight and easy to clean. And I love the inexpensive price.
A couple of tips:
Don't use a lot of pressure by pressing the razor down on your face. Just let it glide lightly against your skin and it will work much better. Also, if you're not used to using an electric razor your face may feel irritated the first few days you use it but after your skin gets used to it, it will give you a super close shave and your face won't feel irritated.
