We tried the full coverage shield which I always felt restricted my baby's breathing. I actually fit the 24 mm best and have small breasts. That size helped with my baby's struggle to latch. She tore my nipples up if I didn't have this on. The rawness and pain alone was enough to give up breastfeeding, but I was determined. My baby will be two months old in 2 weeks and finally this week she began to take my nipple without the shield successfully. This is a tremendous help for those determined to make breastfeeding work and to ease the pain of poor latch, raw nipples.Customer Review: Product accomplished goal

From the beginning, my baby would not nurse. I was determined to breastfeed (didn't want to pay for formula and also wanted the bonding experience for both baby and me). I pumped and bottle-fed for the first 2 weeks. Then someone mentioned this product...I had never heard of it...I did some research and found that it helps with latching problems and sore nipples. My baby had no trouble latching on with the shields and now nurses without a problem without using the shields. I needed this shield because my nipples were too small and wouldn't get hard or long enough for my newborn to get a proper latch. I used these for about 2-3 weeks and my nipples soon became well enough that I stopped depending on them so much. The only negative part about using these shields is having to wean your baby afterward from depending on them to latch and instead latch directly onto your nipple, but it wasn't hard to get that done.Customer Review: nip tip

I wouldn't have been able to breastfeed without this. No way. It is so painful without. Plus baby had a hard time latching and this was initially the only solution. We still use it, baby is a little over 2 mos., and I don't think I would do it without. The two of us have no problems and am hoping it stays that way. After days of suffering through breastfeeding due to cracked nipples, I tried this shield. It was wonderful! I used it for 2 days and my nipple healed completely. I have a 2.5 month old and she had no problems latching on to this shield and getting milk. This truly saved me a lot of pain. It can be a little tricky keeping the shield in place but all-in-all, it was really a great help to me!
