From the beginning, my baby would not nurse. I was determined to breastfeed (didn't want to pay for formula and also wanted the bonding experience for both baby and me). I pumped and bottle-fed for the first 2 weeks. Then someone mentioned this product...I had never heard of it...I did some research and found that it helps with latching problems and sore nipples. My baby had no trouble latching on with the shields and now nurses without a problem without using the shields. I am so relieved that this product worked!
