Medela's CSF Bags are used to collect, store and freeze expressed breast milk. The bags are presterilized for maximum hygiene and they attach directly to any Medela breastshield so you can pump right into the bag. No need for separate collection and storage containers. A built-in pouring spout can be torn open when it's time to empty the bag. The area for labeling each bag is outside the milk chamber to protect the purity of the milk. 50 per pack.Being able to collect and store expressed milk for future use can be a great convenience and timesaver if you've chosen to breastfeed your new baby. For mothers who are using a manual breast pump, this pack of 50 CSF breast milk bags from Medela makes that process very simple. The bags are easy to work with: simply peel apart the top of the bag, insert a twist tie through the prepunched holes, and place the bag around the collar of the breast pump. After pumping and filling the bag and squeezing the air out, the top of the bag can then be folded over the twist tie to the level of the milk. By pulling the ends of the twist tie together you now have a neatly packaged serving of nutritious breast milk. The bags are puncture-resistant and sturdy enough for the freezer, and they come with measurement indicators in ounces and milliliters and a label where you can record the date and time you expressed the milk. Customer Review: Sturdy and reliable bags, dislike the way they close

There seem to be many negative reviews for these bags, but I have no serious complaints about them. I have stored milk nearly 50 times using the Medela bags and have been completely satisfied. They are sturdy and hold up well when being reheated. However, I do dislike the fact that the way they are closed is to insert a little trash bag tie into the two pre-cut holes and then fold over and over and twist together until tight. I store my milk in tupperware and then enclose in large freezer ziplocks and have not had any problem with the milk being corrupted. The way they close is annoying because it doesn't freeze flat at all and I can only store 3 bags of milk per container- thus taking up tons of space in the freezer. When I heat these up in a pot or under hot water I never have to double bag or worry about leaks and that is what matters most to me. I recommend these bags and will continue to use for the remainder of my time breast feeding.
