Customer Review: Nice set but no good if you aren't a size 24mm.

This set is great if you are looking for an extra set of bottles. I ordered this because I was tired of cleaning everything every single night. I thought the breastshields would be just like the ones that came with the pump; in three pieces. I was wrong, it only comes in two pieces. So if you are not a size 24mm then you CANNOT swap out the shields for the right size. I had already ordered this and the right size shields for myself. I could not tell from the listing or the picture on the box that it was not one you could swap out so I opened it. Now I can't return it. I had to order personal fit connectors in addition to everything else. I am just a little annoyed that it wasn't clearly stated and that the kit only exists in the one size. I realize the listing said to check for other listings to get other sizes but there are none that I can find. Don't make the same assumption I did.Customer Review: Good idea to get a second set, and this is good for the price.

I have to agree with folks though, a second set is important especially if you work. I have to pump twice at work (about every 3 hours)and never can get enough time to actually wash and clean a set before I have to get back to work. So I bring two sets and wash them when I get home.
It's a good set for the price. You get lots of accessories that are needed. However, I don't like that the bell and the valve are all one piece. I use a pumping bra (the kind that has 2 holes in it) so I can pump hands free. In order to do this, I'd have to detach the bell part and place that under the bra so the bra can hold it in. The other half of the bell sticks out of the bra and then you can put the valve portion on and then screw on the bottle. When it's all one piece, there's not way I can get the bra around the bell.

The accessory kit has been used a lot. The extra bottles come in handy because now I can pump and store without worrying about not having bottles for my next pump. I wish the set also came with extra collars and nipples. The nipples are not so mush of a problem as the collars are...I can find the nipples here at Amazon.com but they don't sell the collars.
The extra breast shields also comes in handy because I always have a set on hand while the other is being washed and dried. The only difference is the clear part of the shields that came with my pump came in 2 parts where as the shields with this set is one piece.
I haven't used the micro bags yet since I have the Avent Micro sterilizer. I'll probably save these bags and use them when we go travelling.

Two years ago, I bought a breastpump to monitor the amount of milk that my daughter was drinking at each feeding. I purchased this Breastpump Accessory Set for use with my Pump In Style once my son was born. I wanted to be sure that I was using brand new equipment, (not that I had to, but it was my preference). The only thing I have a problem with is that they don't include the two tubes in this package. Luckily, I was aware of that when I purchased this "set" and went elsewhere to get the new tubes. I would have paid a little more to have EVERYTHING included.
As for another review stating that the nipples are a great transition from the breast - NOTE: This set does not include nipples. (that review could be misleading)

This kit is fine for moms that know for sure they can use the medium size Medela breastshield and it will be a good fit. If not you should order the parts separately. A poor fitting shield will lead to soreness and poor milk output -- certainly not worth the minimal dollar savings. Also the tubes do have to be purchased as a separate item -- I cannot see Medela making a kit including the tubes. This kit can be used with a number of different Medela pumps that use different tubes. [...] has a lot of information about this. So this product is great providing these are really the Medela parts you need!
