What a great seat!!! Excellent growth for the long term. I especially like the sides of the seat that offer great side impact protection. Also a five point harness that accomodates a child up to 65lbs and 49" in length. The 5-point harness was super easy to use and adjust. Seat installation was a breeze with the latch system included.
I bought my seat online at travelingtikes.com who's prices were far lower than any other advertised price by more than fifty dollars shipping included.....right on! I purchsed the tan seat "portland" that best matched our car interior.
Im so happy that Britax is rated so well and that their seat is such a household name which made my purchase that much easier to research.
My little guy is styling!!!

Britax Marathon was the easy chioce for me. Excellent growth up to 49"-65 lbs as a 5-point harness. The seat was extremely easy to install with the latch system and versa tether strap.
I especailly liked the head support on the side which is reassuring for side impacts. The marathon is well padded and my 7 month old Jack looks so comfy in his seat that I wanted to jump in there with him.
There are better prices online as one amazon consumer stated in her review online about traveling tikes.com. They are selling the same marathon at $219.99 shipping and tax included. They had a great selection of patterns to choose from which made it easy for me to make my decision.
Im one totally satisfied consumer!

The Marathon is roomy and comfy for my big boy. But the straps on the car seat get twisted alot. I don't care for the rubber things on the straps either, they are annoying. I do feel safe with this car seat and it has a really easy stallation system, I was so happy with the way they latch system (rear facing )works in my car, super easy to put in. And the seat doesn't budge. I had a few questions and called Britax and was surprised to find no 800 number available. I would think that for the high price of their car seats and how many of them they sell they could at least offer their consumers a toll free number for questions. But nope, I was on hold for almost ten minutes waiting for an answer. Other than that I am happy with my choice.Customer Review: Great Seat, Worth the Money

I first got a Britax Marathon seat for my son (now two) at the recommendation of my sister-in-law (my brother's wife). At the time my husband's mother actually chided me for picking out such an expensive seat to register for. I have to say, however, that after using it regularly for over a year with my son that I am so glad I stuck to my guns and got this seat. My friends who have young children are always impressed with how easy the seat is to install (in cars with LATCH and without) as well as how the straps stay tangle free. Also, I have a smaller car and the seat still fits pretty comfortably in it. Now that my second child is on the way I am again registering for the Marathon car seat. I love this carseat so much I just bought a second one for my newest Daughter! She is 6 months and is almost out of the infant carrier. We have Skylar in the best carseat out there,(The Marathon!) that we couldn't put Jayden in anything less. What really sold me on this one was: When I was Pregnant the first time, I was watching the news and there was a car accident. It was horrible, everyone died, except the child that was in the Marathon carseat! So we decided that it was worth every extra cent for the safety of our child! It also had great safety ratings!
