Customer Review: 4.5 stars.... excellent light for nursing and checking infant w/o waking

I LOVE this light and use it all the time! The only reason I dropped 1/2 star is because it is not so impact resistant. Perfect for night-time nursing (I use it to not fumble when going from my bedroom to baby's bedroom also, so it is more MY light than our child's). I also use it often during long drives at night... I shield our sleeping baby from streetlights using the canopy of the carseat and put the Mobi light on top so I can watch our baby sleep without having to turn on the overhead light in the car. Visitors to our house that have kids really like to use it for their children so they don't get overwhelmed with the unknown surroundings and we also use it lots when we travel to other places.
Great product, and I highly recommend the blue color (not too bright, the other colors seems rather bright)! Looking forward to getting the new version that permits change of color and has a rechargeable base... our blue one in this model cracked a little at the base after dropping onto concrete during a trip and, although it still works fine, our child likes to suck on the light and the crack makes me nervous so I am buying a new one.

I had already been using this as a night light for my daughter, and she loves it; then Hurricane Ike hit, and I found out that the TykeLight makes a fantastic emergency light as well!
While it is safe and fun for children, it is also an excellent source of light during a blackout. The ambient light is great for walking around a dark house, or just to have something on when flashlights get to bright and annoying. The TykeLight's 12 hour battery life is also great because during a blackout you can conserve batteries and candles by just using this when you don't need a bright, concentrated light.
So while this product is fantastic for kids, it also serves a dual purpose during emergencies!

I LOVE this product!!! My daughter has been afraid of the dark as long as I can remember. What I love is that this can go with us anywhere. It has been wonderful on vacations, grandparents stays, car rides, hospital stays; basically anywhere dark. We use the yellow, which I think casts a very natural light. She sleeps with it at her head every night. It's become my standard baby shower gift and I get many kudos from new mom's that don't want to turn on the light at night, but want enough light to attend to their baby. Only complaint, after two years of excessive use, it doesn't stay lit as long. But we still get a good 8 hours out of it every night. Just remember to recharge it immediately each morning.Customer Review: replaced first one..second one a dud too

I bought this to be the perfect night light for the late night feedings. I followed directions and let the battery die before recharging. It simply didn't work after the 2nd charge and I exchanged for a new one. The second one worked for 5 weeks and now will not work on the first setting but will work on the second setting that you turn off yourself. I have given up. If the product worked...and perhaps it was just a dud for me x2...it would be great.Customer Review: Perfect Night Light for any age

We bought this a few years ago and I bought the new rainbow one and put them next to each other and they glo the same my 3 year old is now comparing them lol. Also It last for 10 hours even after my kids have throw it beat it and crushed it. They are extremely durable and my kids couldn't live without them. Even my 9 month old is hooked.
