Bought one and tried and tried and cannot get any kind of consistent reading with it. I seem to read as 97 or 104 degrees with readings taken a minute apart. We read all the directions and followed instructions and nothing seemed to improve accuracy. It doesn't seem to be better on the forehead or the ear. It just doesn't work reliably at all. I would never trust this to take my infant's temperature.Customer Review: Good for our intended purpose

Not sure how accurate the unit is, but its consistent from reading to reading (i.e. 3 scans of the forehead read w/n 0.1 degree of each other). In addition, forehead scan is quick and appears to be more consistent than the ear scan. We intend to use product to get general ballparks and follow-up w/ underarm thermometer for higher than normal readings. Easy to use.Customer Review: easy to use, not sure about accuracy

The nice thing about this thermometer is that it's really easy to use. The not so nice thing about it is that it was hard to figure out an accurate reading because the temperature reading changed every time we tried it within a short period of time. So we couldn't tell whether or not we had something to worry about which was a little disconcerting.Customer Review: Very inaccurate!!

It reads from 97 to 102 1/4 inch apart..get a different reading every time..Horrible thermometer and I'm only using it on adults..I'm an RN..if we had variables like this we wouldnt have this product in our hopital..would have done 0 stars if could,,it did come in timely fashion..but 3 times in 6 mos I've used it, it was useless and a guessing gameCustomer Review: cannot trust it

The only thing positive i can say about this thermometer is the light is really helpful in the dark. However, when my son had 105 temp it said 100 (after three different readings). Not once, did it ever give us an accurate reading.
It is not reliable. We spent the extra money on a dependable one and it was worth every penny.
