I tend not to write reviews, but I think this shawl is getting a bad rap. I mean: Wow! I'm really surprised that so many people have had difficulties using this shawl. I used this shawl exclusively for breastfeeding in public or nearly-public, as well as while I pumped in my office at work. I gained a LOT (seriously: A LOT) of weight when I was pregnant, and I never felt exposed on the sides or through the neck hole. The neck opening is large, and when I wanted to peek at my son I could do that easily, though I never felt I had to look at him the entire time he ate. When I didn't need a peek, it was easy to tug it up a bit so more of the opening was at the back of my neck. I used this on airplanes right next to complete strangers, in restaurants, anywhere. I'm frankly stunned that so many had such a hard time with this. The carrying bag was a great addition, too: just roll it up and stuff it in it's bag and it's ready to go for next time. And the microfiber material is lovely: soft, lightweight, and moisture just beads up and rolls off it. I confess I didn't go too many places that would require covering up when we were first getting the hang of breastfeeding, so I can't speak for how difficult it is to learn to breastfeed in public, but I don't think one can fault the cover-up.Customer Review: I returned it

I tried it out once and didn't like it. I was not able to see my baby to help her latch on despite the large neck opening. And the opening was too large to the point that in some positions I would've felt too exposed if around anyone else. I decided the ribbed neck covers are much better for me. However, if you've somehow mastered the nursing covers without the ribbed neck, then this might be okay. The material is unbelievably soft and it's very attractive.Customer Review: It's okay...

I got this nursing cover because I really liked the way it looked and it would cover my back. However, I didn't like that the opening at the top didn't allow for very good viewing of the baby. It didn't have that curved edge to it and it always seemed like my baby was struggeling to breathe under it if it wasn't laying just perfect. Everything else I really liked about it, but that one thing kept me from using it very much.Customer Review: It works, but isn't my favorite option for nursing.

Yes, this shawl keeps you covered and is made from very nice material. But it isn't easy to look at your baby as there is no boning or other stiffening at the neck opening. I ordered another nursing product at the same time as I ordered this one and I like the other product better. I now use this shawl as my emergency back-up.Customer Review: Perfect, my wife loves it.
