Baby Products Reviews of Lift-Off RocketCustomer Review: This is the BOMB toy for little boys! Summary: 5 Stars
Ok, the box says for 18 mos plus, so when my 4 year old opened this at his bday party, of course people thought, WHAT in the world?
However, this is the hands down favorite toy he got, and in fact, he picked it out himself at the toy store as his top choice for the big day.
Months later and it's still a favorite, of his and of any little play mate that walks thru the door.
This is old school "Fischer price" quality and will definitely never make the give away basket. It will still be fun in 2030, I suspect........
And, WE paid 50 bucks for it, so 30 is a steal!
Happy Shopping!
Customer Review: for a broader range Summary: 4 Stars
My six-year-old asked for this after we visited the house of one of my friends. I was a little hesitant to get it, as the age on the package says 18 months. I'm glad I decided to buy it. Although I know that the ages are for safety issues, this toy is clearly for older children. He is having fun flying the ship and meeting the aliens in the dune buggy. There is a lot of play value and it is well designed. All the characters fit inside for storage and the doors are meant to be removable so my toddler can't break them off. Definitely worth it, but for kids older than 18 months, my 2 year old doesn't really know what to do with it.
Customer Review: Not Happy Summary: 3 Stars
First of all, this toy according to Amazon.com is not for children under 3 years of age, so I was OK buying it for a 5 year old. However, when the toy arrives it is right on the box, toy for 18 months and up. From the looks of it, it is a "Toddler" toy, not a Kindergarden toy. Second, I purchased it on September 30, just 6 days ago and I paid $39.99. Today, it is being sold for $32.99 on amazon.com This is not ebay, we should not have to watch for prices to be lowered before we purchase, especially at this time of the year when this grandma is trying to purchase toys early before they run out of a toy a grandchild really wants!
Customer Review: Infinate Fun Summary: 5 Stars
I don't know who is more excited about this toy, me or my son. Little kids just love doors to open and stick things in. Of course cars end up doing most of the play in all his toys but we are loving the little people and the great sounds. The doors could be a little easier for him to open but I've been opening them the first time and then he just doesn't close them all the way. I'm sure he'll learn to pull a little harder to get them open and they break away and easily snap back in. So the doors aren't going to get broken off like they do on other toys. A ben flips up and down which is tons of fun. Love it.
Customer Review: Nice and simple! Summary: 4 Stars
I'm very "anti-loud-flashy-obnoxious-toys," but even though this makes noise it's at a very acceptable volume (on the low setting!) and not some annoying song about counting or something like most FP toys. I got this for my son for his 3rd birthday, and he loves it. The handle is great for him to drive it around and the countdown really excites him! I love to find toys like this that are durable and not made of a million cheap pieces, because I feel safe having my 9 month old around it too. My only complaint is the bottom hatch, where the moon buggy parks, is really hard to open and my son can't do it at all.
