Customer Review: What a blast!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

My 3 year old son loves anything rocket ship related, so I knew he would get a "blast" out of this rocket ship toy. He couldn't stop saying "wow" and "thanks mommy and daddy" when he opened this gift. It's colorful, durable, and creative. He loves opening and closing the little compartments and rolling the space car off and on the ramp. The space ship has a nice sized handle that makes gripping on to it for lift off easy. Even the automated recording on the toy is not obnoxious like some kids' toys. I am so happy I got this for our son - it was a perfect birthday gift.
The only thing I would change is to make the ramp door permanantly attached - it tends to pop off and it too hard for my little guy to put back on himself. A 4 or 5 year old probably could re-affix it though.

Customer Review: Wonderful - lots of play value for all ages
Summary: 5 Stars

I don't have much to add to the previous glowing reviews of this wonderful toy, except to say that my 12 month old (who I figured would be too young to enjoy it just yet), loves it! He likes to put the astronauts in and out of the capsule, open the doors, watch the lights blink, etc. His 3 yo sister, not surprisingly, is also very engaged with the toy, and it's appealing for the grownups as well. I agree that the top & bottom doors seem to pop off easily, but they are also easily put back on, so this isn't such a big deal. We also wish the alien could drive the rocket or the buggy, but perhaps some day iPlay will resolve this interspecies design flaw. Other than that we love it, and I agree that if you are looking for a quality space related toy, this is definitely worth the money!

Customer Review: The Lift-Off Rocket is a blast!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this product on Amazon for my grandson's 2nd birthday, after first seeing it in a "high end" specialty children's toy shop. It is colorful, easy for the children that haven't yet developed their fine motor skills to play with and yet still has enough challenges to keep those that are adept with smaller objects.

He stopped opening gifts after laying eyes on his rocket and we couldn't get it out of the packaging fast enough for him. He plays with it constantly, putting the figures in and out of the different cargo areas and driving around the little moon buggy. Even the 18 month old playmate has given this toy a heavy duty work out.

There will be more International Playthings items among our gift purchases for the little ones that we love.

Customer Review: Perfect for my junior spaceman!
Summary: 5 Stars

My husband and I purchased this toy for my son for Christmas. He is about 18 months now, and he loves it! He loves pushing the buttons, taking the hatch doors off, playing with the figurines, and waving the whole thing in the air. I love that the doors are detachable, as it is inevitable that little hands would break them off regardless of their design! The rover is very durable, and rolls smoothly. My son watches how we put the men in each of the little compartments, and mimics what we do - a nice developmental quality for a fun toy at this age. Also, The little details are adorable, especially in the kitchen/bed/bathroom area. My husband and I love playing with the toy with our son, too. I highly recommend it, and look forward to years of family enjoyment.

Customer Review: We're getting our money's worth...
Summary: 4 Stars

I thought this toy was a little overpriced, but my kid is into astronauts and outer space big time, so I went ahead and got this for Christmas. (The price does fluctuate on this site, so wait to see how low you can get it). Anyway, my kid opened it up with a bunch of cousins, and it got played with by both girls and boys ages 18 months to 7. It was by far the most wanted toy. We've had it for a couple of months and it still gets consistent play. The 2 astronauts, the space dog, and alien are appealing and often cross over to other playsets. The mooncrater and little vehicle do not get a lot of use though. The doors pop off a lot, but they are easy to put back on. It's a bother sometimes, but not enough to get in the way of the toy's positives.
